Hey everyone!

It's a Supermicro 119-7 Chassis, 8x2.5" bays, PSU's and onboard battery backups work. Has Two Xeon E5-2650 V2's, and 256GB RAM, DDR3 1600...

I recently got my hands on a Supermicro AOM-SXMV motherboard, an accessory for SYS-1029GQ. However, its design has left me scratching my head, especially the placement of the motherboard riser connector. It seems like it's designed in reverse. From what I gather, the motherboard riser connector...
Hi,
I have a supermicro SC846 and rails MCP-290-00053-0N.
I am trying to slide the server into the rails but it get stuck.
I can slide the outer rails but the inner rail won't slide into the outer rail more than 10~15cm.
The picture shows where the rail gets stuck. I can't push it any further...

(Moved this to the correct subforum)
It was time to upgrade so that means it's time to pass on some hardware. This is a great kit of hardware that has served me well and would set someone up nicely to start their homelab.
I'm located in 08861 (Perth Amboy, NJ) and prefer an in person meet vs...
I picked up a "broken" X11DPG-OT-CPU. It supports skylake+ and faster ram. Has a missing cap and some bent pins on TPM which I don't use.
Anyone knows if the chassis from my 4028-GR is compatible. They basically look identical. Will the BMC work without a proc installed? I want to see if the...

I took out one CPU from this board and the ram downclocked to 2133. I then turned off POR and set 2400mhz memory speed. Everything appears to be using 2400mhz. I am on linux so there is no proper way to check, for instance CPUZ, but all looks well.
The same menu allows speeds up to 3200. Can I...
Hi everyone,
I've just build a hell of a monster with an Epyc 9334 QS in a Supermicro H13SSL-N. Not really knowing how all this worked yet, I grabbed some Noctua fans, as I had on my last build, but it seems even adjusting the thresholds either does nothing, so they keep oscillating, or has the...
I'm using a Supermicro SNK-P0064AP3 heatsink to cool an EPYC 7763 on a Supermicro H12SSL-I motherboard. I have several identical machines and have noticed that on one machine the CPU temperature seems to be 10 degrees Celsius warmer than on others. Typically, when idle, this processor on other...

Not 100% sure everybody sees this as an opportunity but seller accepts ~110US$ offers. Haven't seen these backplanes in a while, specially in the EU. If you collect several items and...
I recently got a Supermicro X11DPH-T which came with two Silver 4114s and then got some LR-DIMMs for free. I decided I'd try throwing the LR-DIMMs and the R-DIMMs i already owned into the motherboard because why not? I have them split so the LR-DIMMs are on CPU1 and the R-DIMMs are on CPU2 to...
I have read many post on STH but it's my first time creating an account (due to the reddit blackout) so hopefully this is in the right section, if not my apologies.
So I made a mistake in buying an Epyc on ebay from china before realizing that they have the performance throttled due to...
I have a Supermicro H12SSL-i motherboard with an ESXI system installed on it. Recently, I want to pass through the hard disk to the virtual machine through the sata controller to the virtual machine.
When I opened up the ESXI PCI device passthrough page to try to passthrough a sata controller...
I am close to buying a used SuperMicro H11SSL-i motherboard. The motherboard is rev 1.0 and will have an EPYC 7551P CPU installed.
I have noticed there are revision 2.0 of these boards available for sale, so I started wondering. Am I better finding a revision 2.0 board, or am I better going...
I have a Supermicro H11SSL-i motherboard and it has the interfaces below. I have tried doing research on the use of these interfaces and the cables I might use. But I have come up empty? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
