Hi @eholyst, it looks like you're the person to ask... Sorry to necro, but I'm trying to figure out how to add an nvme m.2 drive to my X9DRH-7F motherboard. Am I in the right place? It looks like I have to update my bios with a modded one (am I wrong to assume that the instructions on the first page is what I'm looking for?). Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I'm not 100% sure how to perform the bios update, is it just what's described on page one of this thread?
there is the DL link of BIOS ou asking for,
read the mb manual and instructions from supermicro.

@RolloZ170

I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here. But when I try and flash either version (NVME4/NVME5) using the AMI APTIO Utility I get the error "ROM file size does not match the existing BIOS size"

If I try and use the flashrom utility at all I get the error: "Invalid Opcode at FFF0 ... ...."

Any help troubleshooting this would be much appriciated!

BIOS worked for others, it is for DL earlier in this thread.

"flashrom -p internal -r BACKUP.ROM"
what is BACKUP.ROM ?
try to flash "nvme4_X9DRH8.713" or "nvme5_X9DRH8.713"

Thank you very much! Many are looking for a modified BIOS for X9DRL-iF , your BIOS from X9DRL-3F suited me for X9DRL-iF. I have installed nvme version 5 - works great! Motherboards X9DRL-iF and X9DRL-3F have completely identical BIOS, compared checksums on the supermicro website - they are the same. So if anyone needs a modified BIOS for X9DRL-iF - you can safely install this BIOS for X9DRL-3F modded by @RolloZ170.

Hello, could someone send me the modified bios for the X9SRI-F board? I’m attempting to boot from an NVMe drive connected to a PCIe expansion card, but it fails to recognize the drive as a bootable device. I successfully installed the os onto a USB drive, and after booting, it could detect the NVMe drive. However, despite my efforts, it continues to fail to recognize the drive in the BIOS. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
