Thanks! It's not booting from NVMe for me. I'm installing EVE-NG which runs on Ubuntu. After the install completes I have a "PATA SS:" boot device but it just gives the standard non-system disk or disk error.

Solved. I feel like such an idiot. I didn't pay attention to the boot order and the installer didn't boot in UEFI mode.

i guess the x9SRA doesn't support flash by BMC WebGUI like other SRA models (e.g. X13SRA)
if the flash tool rejects the modded BIOS you need USB SPI flasher with SOP8 clamp.

I plan to try this with the built in EFI shell. That is how I flashed the X9DRD-IF/LF.

it was reported both work for X9. so try 5(also smaller).
4 was the one before 5 was born.
X9 BIOS = APTIO 4
X10 and up BIOS = APTIO 5

And whose MBs should be used as donors to mod X9DR3-F? Any X10 MB? Specific X10 MBs? Or also some specific X9 MB BIOSs?
