If the manual can be trusted, the non -F version has fan controlplayed around with the supermicro X13SAE-F for abit now, 12900ks does work with latest bios. but board dosnt seem to support thermal velocity boost, so max 5.3ghz single core, wonder if the 12900k also suffers a bit from this?
theres also no bifurication of the 16x slot, was hoping 4x4x4x4 would work.
also avx512 dosnt seem possible even when disabling E cores like on some other boards(microcode too new i guess)
edit: and as always with supermicro board no proper fan control, really considering switching to a consumer board or wait for gigabyte/asrock boards.

got some X13SAE-F-O - one was dead DOAI naturally gravitated towards this topic, since one of my X11SSH-F boards seems to have given up the ghost. IIUC, the X13SAZ-F will support ECC RAM, and it has a proper server airflow orientation for the RAM slots. This might be an interesting combination; I'd never thought I'd run a server with a non-Xeon, but if ECC is supported, I might just as well go for it.
Did anyone already get their hands on an X13 board?
Edit: Meh, turns out that just the 920SQ PSU crapped out on me. That saves money That said, I'm still interested in the X13 series.
I've waited this long for DDR5 may as well wait a little longer to see what comes out alongside Raptor Lake release.Not to deflect off of the topic of this thread, but with Intel Raptor Lake's release likely only being weeks away, wondering what people are thinking on waiting to see what that offer is and value prop... as well as, I'd assume, motherboard OEMs may be releasing new products? Same socket - wondering if it will just be a BIOS update to existing Alder Lake boards or if new Raptor Lake boards with IPMI and ECC support are coming.
