I also bought another AX1600i :skull: I have somewhat of an idea what to do with it though.

socket 755 was really overclocking golden age, but i wouldn't buy it just for that socket (and 1155) - but all depends on the price - if you can get it for sub $150 then sure. If not i wouldn't - you can order machining of those parts in for some $200 or so.

If I can find a A770 for a not-stupid price that is. €260 is still a bit too much for my taste.
I owned Intel A770 from ASRock (year back new piece 270eur ASRock Arc A770 Phantom Gaming OC 16GB GDDR6) in children machine and for small price good card.

Only what was really painfull .. drivers. But this is experience approx year back. Drivers are only one thing why I switched back to Nvidia in children machine too.

But for such a low price are Intel GPU a great choice due to the memory size, new technologies, rendering, etc.

I want the A770LE for it's faster VRAM though.

in other news, scored a 8320 and 8350 for €60
Of which the 8350 ended up being DOA, and to add insult to injury the seller didn't even pack the CPUs properly. (both had bent pins)

What an asshole. If he doesn't resolve this the only thing I can do is rape his ratings on Marktplaats unfortunately. On a completely different note: the AX1600i seems to work just fine.

Well that's the end of the FX rig: popped my 9590 by accident :( didn't plug in the water pump of my external WC properly and I needed to piss so I went downstairs while the rig was booting.

To come back seeing coolant everywhere on my board. Eh, I'm done. Cleaned the board and put it aside for now, and tossed the CPU.

I ended up buying a pair of waterblocked OG Titans

Also gonna look at a HC-500A chiller tomorrow. Not cheap, but that should allow me to bench subambient and I know for a fact some hardware really likes cold. (the 2080 Ti for instance)

****ers never delivered my adapters :|

I ended up simply pushing the 16mm ZMT hose into the 45 degree fittings normally used for way bigger aquarium hose which works just fine thus far.

In other news: the Alphacool hailea-to-G1/4 adapters are dogshit. They're ever so slightly too small causing them to weep quite a bit if there's slight overpressure in the system i.e multiple pumps.

Went back to my 'jank' setup of pushing the hose into the big 90-degree fittings instead and can only hope they won't shoot out. (considering how tight that slip-fit is I'd be surprised if it ever happens)
