Hey guys, just as a heads-up since I know we are all looking at 10GbE gear. I was at UnixSurplus earlier today and picked up/ got to see their Quanta LB6M switches. They have these new sealed in box. Ship date on the pallets was in 2016 and they are from Amazon. Amazon was apparently using two of these for TOR switches and these are surplus. Here is a picture:
UnixPlus has them at $325 right now. If you want to use STH50LB6M18 you can get them for $275 or I believe.
Tagging @Jack@UNIXPlus if folks have questions. I do not think we are getting a cut of these sales but figured we can get some special STH pricing on them.
QoS manual for Quanta LB6M
I have seen a bunch of threads on here about them. At $12.50 per 10GbE port they are basically SFP+ L2 switches for not much more than 1Gbase-T. I have been semi-happy with the Mikrotik CRS317 at home, so am trying this one as well since it is cheaper and has more ports.
