Proxmox Setup in Dell R610

Hi All

I have three Dell R610 Servers with me and was thinking of setting up a home lab with Proxmox. These servers come with Perc 6i RAID controllers and I understand that there is no way for me to configure the drives as JBOD for Ceph Storage. I am looking at replacing the Perc 6i with SAS 6iR with part number JW063. I was told that this card would help me setup the drives as JBOD and this would enable me to get the ZFS/ Ceph installation possible. Can someone please confirm

If you want direct access to the drives, i think it's best to get a H200 "integrated" flashed with IT mode firmware. That's a SAS-2 card, so it doesn't have the limitations of the SAS 6i/R, which is a SAS-1 3Gbps card.

Thanks for the response @BLinux. Will check for the availability of H200 in India. On a separate note. I do have few Dell R620s in my datacenter at US. They have H710p Mini and S110 Embedded. Are those cards are SAS-2 and 6GBPS and can be used in direct access mode as JBOD?

The H710P Mini is a SAS-2 card and can be converted to IT mode as well. The S110 I'm not sure about..
