I am currently researching Supermicro motherboards that I can use with TWO of these CPUs. Do you guys have any recommendations for a cost effective motherboard?

@kennyt18 supermicro has a very large # of 2011-V1/v2 1P/2P boards... I have many models, and haven't been upset over any. Buy the model board that has what you need... lots of ram slots? 10GigE? LSI onboard? etc... :)

It was listed at $119 but I made an offer for 90 each for 2 and it was accepted. May be time to go lower in the future. Now I just need to find a board to put these in. Not having any luck finding a board for less than $300. Must have 8 ram slots per socket and at least 4 8x slots.

Must just be the time, I've gotten close to a dozen in the last 15 months for 250 or less, some 50% less. The 1P boards seem to always bee within 20-50$ of the 2P board, so I've only gotten a couple of those total.

A quick note on this (I got one of the 3.5" versions) - had a few bits that were not included/ as described. Also, you will want the E5-2660 not the E5-2670. Power draw was too high with the E5-2670's. I think max TDP is around 160w (8x 20w) higher and then you need faster spinning fans to cool that much.
Good catch Patrick, thanks, i would have missed that.

The other idea I had was to get an HP DL360 G8. Any "gotchas" with that?
