Hello to everyone i got a question to my sodola SL-SWTGW215AS. I tried to configure VLANS but its not working like i want.

I got 1 SFP+ Port from my OPNsense, which getting VLAN-IDs: 1103 and 1104 from my Proxmox-Server this port go to the Port 6 on the Sodola -Switch.

So i configure the switch like in the pictures below, to diffrence the first and second port from the third and fours.

But the VLANs are only come thrue Port 1+2. When i try to get the VLAN via normal ethernetport from my Server with the same VLAN Settings on Proxmox and connect the port to Port 5 on Sodola it works but i want to use the SFP+ Port on the Sodola maybe somebody can help me out.

i do a similar think with my sfp port that comes upstream from proxmox, and has vlan aware configured with 835 tagged.. comes to the switch on port 9, port 1 is not a member of vlan 1 but has pvid 835 and that port accepts all, so the pfsense vm on proxmox can reach what is connected to port 1.

Hi all. I have managed version AMPCOM model WAMJHJ-8125MNG and I am having hard time to make bond to work.

I tested both LACP and STATIC options to create bonds.I tested on ports 7+8 and also on 3+4 just to test if RTL8373 and RTL8224 work the same or not.
In both cases, bond is established, I can see it on server side as well as on switch, but I am not able to push trough more than 2,5Gbps. Problem is that always just one port is used for traffic flow. You can see that on last screenshot from Truenas. Once donwload goes to enp3 other time enp4. But always just one of them is actually doing something. What makes me worry is that system/port settings reports configured Trunk1 as 2500Full. I even tried enabling flow control and setting interface Trunk to 2.5G ( there is no option to go higher) So If this switch is not really capable of math 2.5 + 2.5 = 5, than this is brick for me...
I was trying to search for datasheet of RTL8373 to seek answers there, but I was not able to find any datasheet with some list of capabilities.

Just to prove that problem is not on server side, when I config the same thing on my Mikrotik CSR317.( in balance RR mode for example ) I can see traffic being split between both ports 50/50.

Are these switches capable of aggregation and increasing speed this way? Have anyone been sucessfull with Trunks, bonds LAGs? I have server with 4x 2.5G interfaces and I was hoping to use this thing to aggregate it 4x 2.5 to one 10G Twinax and remove need of adding additional 10G network card in to my server as I am already out of PCIe slots and those 2.5G interfaces are on board.

Hi Everyone,
This class of switch with 8 x 2.5Gb link and 1 SFP+ looks very interesting, since I need the management feature.
I cannot find however the power consumption, both in IDLE and for every port.
Someone has tested it ?

thanks
Emanuele

You can find the results here: https://www.servethehome.com/horaco-8-port-2-5gbe-and-1-port-10gbe-sub-100-switch-review/

Resumen: Idle 1.6 Watt, 0.7 Watt for every 2.5 Gbit port used. They didn't test an Optical SFP module, but a 10Gbase-T module 1.7 Watt. Optical should be less.

LACP or LAG doesnt work the way you are thinking. From the server side, adding two interfaces will increase bandwith of 5G in total. But from the client side, it remains 2.5G. The idea is if you have 2 clients, both can use a bandwith of 2.5G, instead of sharing 1 link of 2.5G. Also i assume you put the Trunk Group Setting in LACP mode? i didnt see this in your screenshots

Hello,

I recently bought a XikeStor SKS3200-8E1X-P. It came with firmware 1.0 on it. I did see that there is a firmware listed in #218 for 1.9. I also found that SeekSwan has V1.9 available ( SKS3200-8E1X-P ).

1738878151567.png

I decided to give that one a try. The gui was straightforward on the firmware upgrade except for the last step. I do not remember the exact wording but something to the effect of "please resend or return to the web management". I was confused by that so I reloaded the main admin page and I think I am now stuck in a bootloop
The PWR led is steady green.
The SYS led is quick flash green.
And every 10 seconds or so all of the port leds flash once, simultaneously.

Port 1 (the port I am plugged in to) led does show traffic from my laptop but nothing else works. I can't ping the interface (192.168.10.12). I can not get the UI to load. I found something in a github repo about the firmware failsafe at 192.168.1.1, but I can not access that either.

I have not opened the unit as I do not want to void a return if that is what I need to do.
- Does anyone know if this is recoverable?
- If so, how?
- If not, I have no problem exchanging the unit with Amazon.
- If I do an exchange for a new unit, can someone tell me the steps to use for upgrading the firmware?

Thank you for any help!!!

Which one did you try? The one listed on the website or in the forum?

hi everyone.

i got here through google.

ill explain the situation first, en then the f*ckup i made.

i bought a keeplink. managed poe 8 x 2.5 1 x 10

from day 1 the sys light kept blinking.
the switch worked normal.
gui worked. and a switch is normaly a set and forget item.
3 a 4 weeks later my internet connection droped.
reset all. modem, switch pc. still nothing.
tryed gui ( 192.168.0.10 ) no exces. did factory reset of switch and it worked again.

now. 3 weeks later my internet speed dropt from 300mb to 80mb
tested modem ( wifi on phone is direct on modem) and that had 300mb.
problem was in switch. reset. no good.
again factory reset and the speed came back to 300mb.
set ip subnet and gateway again. all good.

but light still blicks. so reading this whole tread #326
i thought that might be the problem.
so i flashed it. now it is bricked.
( i blame only myself ) and in this case the cheap chinees chips...... i think its an hardware issue off faulty chips.

some keeplink guy said he flashed it, and it works, so i dont think its an software issue

its stuck in a boot loop. de s 9 and p lights blink. and the connection lichts light op ones orange. ones green and that just repeats.
no connection through utp.
192.168.1.1 , 192.168.0.1 x.x.1.168 x.x.0.168 x.x.2.1 x.x.2.168 x.x.3.1 x.x.3.168
( and yes everytime is put my pc ip in the same range before i tryed )

connected pc. direct to switch ( everything else disconnected )
i tryed networkscanner nothing found in the network ( normaly i should find the gui login page ) full range 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255

so it is officialy dead, i just went to amazon and orderd a usb serial connector and it should get here this week.
i wil try to document the repair. because its not realy clear on how i should do it. ( putty and and esc and a kabel , no idea )
3.3v and no vcc connected. post #216 is no help for a noob.

reading the rest. i might have an suggestion. take first page. pin first post. and make an overview of all download links PER ROUTER.
make a CLEAR disintion on 4+1 4+2 8+1 poe and managed. and ad keeplink in ( haha )
because reading 25 pages and 494 post. was 6 hours of my life i never get back.
the thread is for 1 router. but some people start talking over other 4 +1 firmware. that will brick a 8+1 mine. and you lose overview,. and gets confusing.

gtz. keep you posted

does anyone successfully paired this switch with SFP+ 10Gbe uplinks?

Thanks

Looking to use two of these Xicom 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceivers
I would suggest going for the more power efficient 80 or 100 meter ones instead if you can. :) Power draw is quite a bit lower (meaning much less heat), which also makes them more compatible with SFP+ NICs that don't work with the more power hungry transceivers.

Has anyone had any experience with these Keeplink switches?

Ordered two of these and LAG/LACP does not appear to work at all, if i link both switches up with two cables after creating the LAG/LACP then traffic just pretty much grounds to a halt between the two switches.

This is the System Info:

Device ModelKP-9000-9XHPML-X-AC
MAC AddressXXXXXXX
IP Address192.168.0.4
Netmask255.255.255.0
Gateway192.168.0.1
Firmware VersionV100.9.4
Firmware DateAug 07 2024
Hardware VersionV1.1

can you post the bin file from the flash rom ?

in this threat is something about settings.

I think i have figured out the problem with slow smb speed with sfp+ ports
aparently you have to enable flow control or it causes latency issues

You have to manually fix the link speed to 10GFull and with flow control set to on. Then it will work.

does your s light blink all the time ?

my keeplink is bricked at the moment. i need the bin from v100. the 1.8 1.9 and 1.9.1 dont work.
