Anyone running a LSI 9300 8I (IT Mode) in the 4x slot? Any issues?
I have 9400-16i on the x4 slot without issues.

In general card specs are upto x8 and will happily negotiate x1/x2/x4, its only if their wattage is beyond what the smaller port is rated for its problematic going down.
(To design cards 1 slot size above what they need is also commonly done for backwards compatability, to make sure it will have enough bandwidth in a slot from the previous generation also.)

Amazing :) that would free up my x16 slot for 4NVME which would seem to make the most use out of it!

Hi!
I installed this mobo today after 5 months in storage :)

my friend gave me he’s 5700x that he’s not 100% sure if it’s working or not, he’s whole system broke but I think it’s only his mobo.

anyhow, I installed my mobo today, paired it with the 5700x and one stick of ram. Got into IPMI but I can’t get it to boot. I tried to so it inside of the IPMI but it refuse to turn on.

I think bios is F05, so I know that the cpu is not supported, but I’m unsure how it should behave. Like, should it try to boot when I hit the power button?

Just to report success with R4600G.
The board came with F06 BIOS and did recognize R4600G with single stick in B1.
I did an update of BMC through IPMI and later updated BIOS to latest version.

I tried my 9300-8i on https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005311953959.html it did not like being bifurcated in x16 slot 1

My 2 meta INTEL SSDPEK1A118GA stopped showing up all together ... until i changed back to 9207-8i

Has anyone found a way to set up different fan headers to run with seperate profiles? I have a 2 level system and want the lower drive bay fans to spin a bit harder. The rest i want to fun off the CPU.

Problem is it only lets one fan profile run at a time and each fan profile does not offer all the options I need. It does seem quite limiited.
I think I must be missing something obvious.

I think you have just cracked it! There are policy numbers I can add from the drop down. Feel like a bit of a simpleton right now :D

Mushkin Proline 32GB 3200M/T ECC UDIMMs (MPL4E320NF32G28) was fairly low price locally and they seem to work just fine.
I installed CPU, 4 sticks of memory, upgraded BMC firmware followed by BIOS and had no issues.

BMC is not showing some of the basic information, which feels "unprofessional" but i guess it comes with the budget. If this is caused by something else than missing spd data, feel free to educate.

Edit: Slight addendum - these sticks seem to be free from bothersome spd information and will not show up with vendor information when checking with hwinfo. They do seem to work just fine though but you get what you pay for :)

I based my testing on memtest86, which runs perfectly fine, but starting windows or linux install freezes the machine after a short while. For linux it froze during boot and for windows i usually get to selecting installation location. I've tried all the usual stuff, from reseating components to using different harddrives and connecting via onboard sata and through a sas controller. I've also tried with just a single ram stick in slot A1 and multiple ram sticks.
I've tried loading installation image via usb and via bmc virtual drive with the same issue.

Only thing I've noticed acting odd is setting ecc related settings in bios has the expected effect, but revisiting the pages in bios after saving, shows the options as disabled, even though i set them to enabled. This also means saving bios settings again, even without changing ecc settings, changes them to disabled.

Am i missing something? There is nothing connected except cpu, ram and a regular sata harddrive. PSU is good too.

Edit: seems to be a dead cpu.
Edit2: Yup, dead cpu. Replacement 5650g and the Mushkin sticks work just fine.
