I found this thread searching for information on Xeon CPUs.
I purchased a second hand computer to do some heavy computing tasks. It was supposed to have 2 x Xeon E5-2690v3 CPUs.
The CPUs are marked as follows:
Intel Xeon E5-2690V3
SR1XN 2.60GHz
So the sSpec is SR1XN. According to CPU-World SR1XN is supposed to be the production version.
However, the CPUs are not recognized as E5-2690V3 by the motherboard (with updated bios) and the speed is set to 2.40Ghz, not 2.6GHz as per E5-2690V3 specification.
HWiNFO gives med the following information about the CPU:
Intel Xeon-2400
Stepping: L0
QDF: QEYJ (ES2)
To me it looks like these CPUs are engineering samples, even though they are marked with final sSpec. Am I correct? Do you have any suggestions on how to interpret this information?
