Some strange situations occurred on Q4gn(GNR, A2 Stepping, 88 PhysicalCoreCount, 72 Functional Core Count).
Although 72 cores were enabled, the processor only supports the two levels of Intel SST-PP, thay are level2(48c enabled) and level3(32c enabled)

They only work on a small set of motherboards and these are fairly expensive.
Hello everyone! I'm going to order my first 4677 build and need some tips.
Initially, the choice was between 9654es + t2seep, 8800 yuan, but the lga4677 option turned out to be more interesting due to faster single-core performance, and it's only 1200 yuan more expensive.
So. I bought 16 different dies for different frequencies 6000-6800 fury renegade pro. I'll order the MS73-HB1 motherboard. But which processors should I take?
I thought that Q2SR was better than Q2SP, because Q2SR on taobao is 200 yuan more expensive. But after reading sth, it seemed to me that this is not so, and Q2SP is better.
Dispel my doubts - is Q2SP more interesting than Q2SR? And will Q2SP work fine on MS73?

many of them available, seller needs fast money, etc.
intel doesn't sell ES. they are free for valifated customers.
Q2SP can go more all core clock. but if you need 64 cores(Q2SR) the Q2SP is not an option.
all EMR-A0 need very old or special BIOS.

Q2SP works on MS73 and cpu-z score of single Q2SP is about 37000 (Only 31000 with single Q2SR)
Thanks a lot for the reply! I don't need 128 cores, 120 seems sufficient. Besides, judging by your comments, the Q2SP is a more productive processor. So I chose to order a pair of Q2SP. The motherboard with processors will arrive in 2 months, I will write to you about the bios. Back on taobao, I found radiators for the MS73. For 300 CNY offers such vrm radiators to replace native ones. I will have a regular 4U case without a powerful blower. Do you think these 350W processors require a more powerful VRM radiator on the motherboard?
if you have no min.Airflow think about heat of small SMD part and RAM overheating.
it is always a problem to mount server mothernoard in a PC Case.
If you 2ns CPU Cooler gets hot Air of the first you get in trouble, better is Waercooling but it come with risk of leakages.

I'm having a hard time creating account on taobao / goofish.. I'm following various YT guides..
Only one time did i manage to get a SMS with verification code, and that allowed me to 'log in', there is some kind of random account in top right corner but still can't do any searches..
There is another page to create email / password login, but only manage to get voice calls with automated chinese female bot saying the numbers, but nobody can understand it..
Already exceeded verification attempts, and will have to try again after 24 hours..
Haven't tried installing the android app yet, would like to avoid that unless there's no other way.. i will keep trying

i have account since 2016, over the years, I've bought a lot of things through taobao and, most recently goofish, without any major problems.
It's not necessarily cheaper, but I only found the items there.
today that wouldn't work anymore because my phone number/area code is no longer valid.
in case you do not know:
goofish is general no returns(there are excetions, but only domestic/local china)
most taobao seller do not ship overseas, you need to use a agent/parcel forwarder,
once arrived in your country it is almost impossible to return a defective item.
no paypal: you can't open a case/dispute.

There was a message from member at another forum, that SuperMicro X12DAI works nice with Xeon 8360Y ES ICX C0, bios 1.1b, cold version F1.00.09. But the board works only with CPU in the first CPU slot, and the system immediately shuting down with both CPU installed as if there is a short circuit somewhere.
Do you still use ebay to search and buy from china? Can you share any other sources you use? I was under the impression one can find mobo/cpu cheaper on taobao/goofish etc..
sure. some parts are not or not yet available at ebay. on big or high weight items shipping with a parcel forwarder like superbuy costs much money.
e.g. i shipped recently a parcel 48x48x34cm ( 2kg but volume weight 9,7kg ) with a PC case and some small parts. costs me 900 CNY cheapest way. chn ebay seller can ship cheaper but maybe transit takes longer time.
only ES CPU are cheaper. motherboards, CPU prod.units and QS not (pls add the extra costs to have them at home)
i buy those parts only at taobao/goofish if they are not available somewhere else.
another expample: i bought a refurb.dell motherboard from a ebay us seller, he don't ship to EU so i used shipito. the motherboard arrived defektive, the seller provided me a free shpping label (from shipito usa back to seller) so i have to ship the board from EU to shipito(usa CA) easy to understand that is not an option for a 40 bucks motherboard. you will have a similar situation with parts from china and use of a parcel forwarder like superbuy.

Hello, I'm deciding between QYFS and Q2SR. I would prefer the Q2SR, but I'm not sure if it runs in MS33-AR0 that I have. The motherboard has recent BIOS R11. Some sellers of Q2SR say it's "compatible" with gigabyte motherboards only. Do you know if I need a modified BIOS for Q2SR to run in MS33? Will older QYFS run with the recent BIOS?
Q2SR: you have to wait 6/7 minutes to POST or use a mod. BIOS, PM me for BIOS.
