AMX from Intel has some advantages, again simply maturity and adoption, back when Intel was outselling AMD 9:1 (now 2:1), I’m sure things will catch up but Intel CPUs just have some advantages, as I said, “my tests” are specific to things I do not in general, some specific things were written to take advantage of intel’s vs amd.Are those benchmarks between xeons and epycs with the current generation? AMD now does AVX-512 fyi. All of the testing I've seen shows that it's generally easier to list the few areas where a 128 core xeon 6980P 2P manages to beat the 64 core 9655 2P let alone the 128 core 9755 2P setup... The Xeon max stuff is cool for a variety of reasons though.
it’s like anything though, I like car analogies because they’re simple, I always argue with mustang owners over Porsche, they can beat me on a short straight line unmodified from factory, but on a track, I may not win for top speed but ill win based on track time
