Tested with your first code that did not work. When I tried with your second code it said already applied. Thanks for the tip though :)
Ok, weird about the second code. The first one was artificially limited it seems.

Well, Hasivo discounted them quite a bit already for this sale, so you still got a good deal. :) I guess I was just surprised that the coupon code stacked on top of the existing anniversary sale discount (dropped down from $307.5 to $202.92 in total, including 25% VAT). :D

I ended up paying 225 USD including 25% tax so not so bad including shipping to Norway.
Sounds like that $20 coupon was indeed applied already then. :)

Based on your name, I figured you were either a fellow swede or Scandinavian. :D

There is an L2 managed one called S1100W-4SX-4XGT-SE too. Hardware should presumably be the same besides not having the console cable populated. :)
Are these cheaper 4+4 port poe/non-poe versions confirmed L2 web managed? I don’t see mention on the product page.

The reference to DACs not working was before I got Hasivo to provide me with a firmware update that allows you to select the DAC signal calibration (essentially pick between the different length presets from the SDK). Since then, I've been running my RTL9301 based Hasivo switch as my main switch with a 10 Gbps DAC uplink to my router. :)
This may well be fixed in the sdk now my 0.5M DAC i didnt have to select anything on my 8+4 with 10th January 2025 firmware
what lengh is the cable?

The impression I got from talking to Hasivo was that they are L2 managed or at least "smart web managed". It also follows the naming scheme of my old switch from them, where the SE model is the same hardware as the L3 managed model, but without populating the console port and with different software.

The product renders also suggest that they are managed, but the product listings are otherwise very light on details.

If you want to be sure, I would definitely ask Hasivo directly through AliExpress though. :)

I bought it during the AliExpress Anniversary Sale recently when the bigger price drop on the L3 managed model plus the fact that it qualified for the bigger $40 coupon (on top of the sales price) negated any meaningful cost difference. That's why I stopped looking into it further. :)

It's certainly possible. All the software would presumably have to do is read the stated cable length from the EEPROM in the DAC cable and pick the suitable signal calibration based on that.

The cable in question is 2 meters long, but I believe I also had issues with my 0.5 meter DAC before the ability to pick configuration was added. Either way, it became rock solid after that ability was added.

I just got mine. It seems to be working fine. But the PWR light is blinking between green and red. How do I fix that?

I made a video showing the PWR flashing here - YouTube

I have sent a question to Hasivo regarding the blinking.

Otherwise I got a temp update. Its not that warm at all. I can easily hold my hands on it. Feels like a heated steering wheel. Maybe 40C. The switch reports that the 10Gbits Gbic is 58C.

I was looking at this switch today and found this thread. I am very concerned that this switch is fanless.
This is clearly a RTL9303+ RTL8264 (or 4xRTL8261) it's gonna be ~20W with 4x10GbaseT connected. This already requires a fan (or a very clever/expensive fanless design). I think you can forget putting SFP+ to 10GbaseT Transceiver in there.

Well, obviously don't fill it up with 10GBASE-T transceivers. :) If that's what you need, you should just buy an 8 port 10GBASE-T switch.

To me, the use case is really just to have one or two 10GBASE-T (one at 2.5GBASE-T) and then a DACs or fiber transceiver or two. For that, I imagine that passive cooling will be perfectly fine. :)

This switch seems to be on sale again as part of the AliExpress April Sale. :) You should then also be able to add one of the discount codes (likely the $20 or $30 ones depending on the model and VAT) on top of the sale price, assuming it worked like the last sale AliExpress had.

My unit that I ordered on March 16 is still in transit btw. so the Cainiao shipping is clearly not very fast. It seemingly sat at the airport in China since the March 29 and only today reached the "local" airport. Whether that's actually an airport in Sweden or one in a transit country is unclear.

But that one has a fan. The F1100W is fanless. If that matter for the one buying it.
I also imagine that the 12 port model is quite a bit bigger, which isn't ideal for some of us. :) There is a "desktop" model of it apparently, but looks the same so I wonder if they simply removed the rack ears. :D

That one is also on sale though, so at least there's that.

I cant find any information which PoE standard is implemented there :(
Can it handle Poe++ for some new Wifi7 Access Points? (Like Ubiquiti..)

Or something like this? @blunden

Sorry if this isn't what you meant. I don't even know what any of these mean ;(
That's the one. Thanks. I don't remember if I asked for anything else as well. Either way, I've already bought one. It's just taking its sweet time to arrive. :D

The models that use Hasivo's own PoE board tend to support PoE up to 90W on the first port (if you have the appropriate Power supply) and PoE+ on the rest of the ports that that PoE board supports (4 ports per board). I've found the 90W port to be a bit finicky on my Hasivo switch (another model) though, but someone else on this forum managed to draw 40W from it without issues if I recall correctly. So no, it supports at most one such AP. PoE+ APs (or those APs in their slightly limited PoE+ mode) should be fine though. :)
