The LB6M does 129W! goodness...I better order one tooIf you're replacing, or avoiding buying in the first place, some old switch with 10GbE ports then one of these literally pays for itself in reduced power! How many threads on here can say that?

The screenshots there say stuff like "Not discuss Beta features , results, and other topics anywhere but the official Beta forums". They also say "Anyone not following the above rules may be disallowed to participate" (emphasis my own).
Admittedly I clicked through the agreements rather quickly in order to get my order placed, so I didn't really read through it, but that section did stand out to me when I contemplated putting up a YT vid about the switch.

I just got in a couple of 40mm noctua fans and replaced the itty bitty fans that came with it. They don't come close to lining up properly but are MUCH quieter and seem to push just as much air even though they are misaligned. Here are some images in case anyone else decides to do it:
Got back from the colo a little while ago, I replaced my LB6M with 2x US-16-XG.
The power bar in my rack dropped an amp on usage, so that's a super win!
I have 4 esxi hosts and 1 ubuntu ZFS node all connected with 10G DAC cables, everything worked without a hitch!
I need to buy more DAC cables for multipathing between the two switches but right now things work great.

All switches are not created equal right? Kinda has me wondering...we've seen some IP SAN networks fall flat on their face due to lack of buffer, wonder if these switches 'cut the mustard' or how they hold up in the long run driving 10G IP SAN traffic?
Only one way to find out.
Ordered 1 to do very extensive testing, but if these do hold up.. i think ubiquiti will have some serious production to do
It boggles my mind that manufacturers don't feel compelled to release detailed specs on their switches (buffer size, and dedicated per port or shared, and if it's not custom silicon, then what ASIC is inside, expected forwarding latency, etc.) I'm sure they've blasted these with an ixia or spirent. Why don't they just publish their data? Grrr. /rant

Well everybody should also remember that these are beta products, yet to be officially released, and reduced rates.

Connecting through cisco dac and cisco gbic to
Omnios using a intel 520-da2
Omnios running 192 gb ram and 16 ssd (intel 3700 200 gb)
Should give me plenty to stress test and fiddle around with

I have one of their APs at the colo and I plugged it into one of the 4 ports, no link....wtf!
Turns out the WAP is only 100Mbps....booo
So I had to connect it through a slower switch. #FirstWorldProblems
