Hello,
I recently got the Quanta LB6M but it seems to have an issue as it will connect to the internet (IE get an IP address), but I can't seem to connect to that address at all. I have tried connecting through Putty using that IP but it didn't work, I have also tried just connecting through various web browsers but that doesn't work either.

I have done some research but it all seems to come back to a serial port, which the switch doesn't have. When I try to connect directly through ethernet to the console port it just keeps saying unidentified network then back to network cable unplugged.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have also tried completely resetting it by taking out the CMOS battery and letting it sit, but nothing seems to be working.

what do you mean it doesn't have a serial port? they all have serial ports:

are you trying to plug an ethernet cable into that??

The console port is a serial port, not Ethernet. You need a Cisco-compatible RJ45 to serial adapter, then a Serial-to-USB adapter - There are also combined cables that are both in one. Try to get a PL2303-based adapter, I've had good success with those.

I have a Quanta LB4M which is similar - I had to enable "Web Mode" to get the admin GUI to work, and I had to generate a key for SSH to work. Mine also has "Java Mode" which gives you a cool graphic showing the ports if you install an ancient version of Java. Also try Telnet, that might get you in, but maybe disable it after for security once you get SSH going.

IIRC not all of the Quanta firmware versions have a GUI - I'm fairly sure only the older firmware versions do. I found a version that does L3 and has the web GUI, and that's what I use.

Here is an old threat about these switches:

Thank you all for the help! I ended up getting it working although no web GUI so I might get one of RJ45 to serial then serial to USB to get the settings working!
