I broke everything myself earlier -)))
BMC web access was available before the BMC update to ver.12.61.17, the update was successful, but access was lost. The password "sn of the motherboard" and "password" are not suitable.
Does your system post? If it does just use ipmitool to locally reset password - I had an Linux usb flash drive with ipmitool installed just for that purpose - to reset admin password on ipmi of my servers when needed.

@Kizune
no post
he updated BIOS to from Rome to Naples but he has only a Rome.
Ouch. I don’t even think I have any Naples based processors left in my collection. Is this an issue with Gigabyte boards or is it a generic AMD issue that BIOS can serve only one generation of Epycs?

Can anyone please help to update MZ31-AR0 (rev. 1.1) to server_mb_bios_MZ31-AR0_R34_F22 (Rome/Milan).
As I have 16 384 kB chip I can only flash Rome or Milan (not both simultaneously supported in my case).
So, how can I do this? BMC says:
Selected file is not valid for BIOS update.
Select valid file and click upload.
So, I need a programmer to flash it?

server_mb_bios_MZ31-AR0_R34_F22
R34 = Rome
F22 = Naples
server_mb_bios_MZ31-AR0_M04_R32
R32 = Rome
M04 =Milan

you need RBU file:
i can mod a flash_F.rom or flash_R.rom to a RBU file. which do you need ?
check this

Do you happen to have rome BIOS that also works on ES epycs? , I couldn't find BIOS with old agesa versions.

no sorry. oldest BIOS is have is Rome R18_F18
I was able to find MZ31-AR0_R03_F16.zip, not sure how to do the flashing part as I only have SOP8 now, I think Zhang Said that rev 2 rome part would be flashed as they have some sort of signature check. I would have to somehow cheat BMC and I am not sure about where to start.

is this going to bypass the signature check? I am also not sure which agesa version this BIOS has. hopefully lower enough for it to work with ES epyc
read the rel.notes inside. AGESA PI version: RomePI 1.0.0.1
RBU is accepted by WebGUI

I see, I think something odd is wrong with the board, it keeps showing old CPU 7282 and one stick of RAM eventhough I tried resetting BMC along with CMOS, I tried RBU Update and it doesnt work no matter which version I use. I also noticed that IPMI shows bios recovering right after I log in.

pls note: you need full successful POST to update the inventory. if not you see last working config.

I've never had this work on 2 different sets of Supermicro boards. Inventory never updates, but system runs fine so I'm not bothered about it. I'm sure there has to be some BIOS or IPMI option that's just blocking it.
