Hi,

I got few Gigabyte ga-7peslx motherboard.

I'd like to lower the fan speed (actually running stock fan of supermicro CSE-825 at 6000 RPM, pretty loud).

I try the ipmitool raw commands of supermicro board, but it don't work's :

Code:
root@hv1:/home/alex# ipmitool raw 0x30 0x45 0x00
Unable to send RAW command (channel=0x0 netfn=0x30 lun=0x0 cmd=0x45 rsp=0xc1): Invalid command
root@hv1:/home/alex# ipmitool raw 0x30 0x70 0x66 0x01 0x00 0x32
Unable to send RAW command (channel=0x0 netfn=0x30 lun=0x0 cmd=0x70 rsp=0xc1): Invalid command
root@hv1:/home/alex# ipmitool raw 0x30 0x70 0x66 0x01 0x01 0x16
Unable to send RAW command (channel=0x0 netfn=0x30 lun=0x0 cmd=0x70 rsp=0xc1): Invalid command
Do you know a tips to drive the fan speed on gigabyte motherboard ?

Or can we show all raw possibility of the IPMI RAW (like a SNMP walk).

Thank's a lot.

Answer from Gigabyte support :

After checking with the party in charge, we are sorry that the BMC does not support to adjust the fan speed.

Regards,
GIGABYTE

That's litle disapointing for a motherboard with ASPEED 2400 !
