ESXi 7.0 System sensor display "No sensor" on Supermicro X10DAi board

FWIW, in the BIOS setting I can't find the IPMI tab

Haha really? I can't find the IPMI in the manual, so does that mean it isn't supported? So, is there any way I can read the sensor data?

there is no IPMI on SM mobos without "F" in the model
so yeah, there is no ipmi on yours respectivelly esxi cannot read the data

They're really not perfectly consistent with that naming scheme, for instance, I had a X10DRH-CT which definitely has IPMI: X10DRH-CT | Motherboards | Products | Super Micro Computer, Inc.

I think that all Supermicro dual socket Intel boards have IPMI. The naming scheme for dual socket doesn't have any indicator for IPMI, while the single socket lists the "F" that we all know.

My bad. I should have said "all Supermicro dual socket Intel server boards have IPMI".

Your board is classified as a workstation board (that's what the "A" means), so it would need the -F to indicate the IPMI feature.
