Hmm, I will help you if I can. Hard for me to know what you might be doing wrong, or if it will even work with the particular drives you are using.

I know it was a big "WooHoo!" moment when I finally got this to work. I didn't even believe it, plugged it into another controller to confirm.

One thing that helped is for the version of Niagara I downloaded, someone created a bunch of PDF's in the download that showed how to do it, I probably would not have figured it out without that. So thanks to whomever make those ;-)

Did you try with WinCil driver instead of SPTI?

Tried it, tried it in x86, tried it in x64, tried another backplane.
No chance, my devices seems to be locked by firmware.

I did the linux version and I found that I had to choose "save pages" for the setting to survive after reinserting the drive. So I suggest trying that setting. I didn't bought drives under this deal and mines are 200g version.
