Not sure what part of the guide you're talking about can't see it in the 6450

Current configuration:

module 2 icx6450-sfp-plus-4port-40g-module

!
lag lag dynamic id 1
!
!
vlan 1 name DEFAULT-VLAN by port
router-interface ve 1
!

!
aaa authentication web-server default local
aaa authentication login default local
ip dhcp-client disable
ip dns server-address 192.168.0.1
ip route 0.0.0.0/0 192.168.0.1

ip address 192.168.0.50 255.255.255.0

!
end

The SFP module does work @kpfleming

I am not seeing a stack disable command in your dump ? This would mean the ports still think they are in stacking rather than port mode

(I am only new to all of this Brocade as of last week - so am just surmising)

Follow the guide linked in the first post to reflash the primary partition and the boot sector from inside the uBoot environment.

If that fails, you most likely have a hardware issue of some sort. I had a 7150 with wonky flash and I had to use the NAND clean and scrub commands to get it to properly load an image.

Well you know it is better for him to make a video with that title as that will get more clicks, and he can make a part 2 later on that he fixed it. Not defending him but just thinking about the youtube/adsense mindset. And he can thank his fans to send him to this thread.

surely you realized this would be a train wreck before he even racked the switch?

The words, enterprise and "plug and play" in the same sentence?

Big negative points for using a D'k tahg as a box opener too - that's just - just plan wrong.

listening to his jibber jabber flim flam hurt my brain.

so much bad content in that video.

Any idea about my ICX6450-24P issue (35W in IDLE instead of 25)?

Are there different revs? Can it be due to aging of components in the PSU?

Any idea on how to identify?
Anyone with a 25W IDLE ICX6450 willing to share a picture of the PSU?
Ah my bad, 6450s don't have external PSUs. In which case this is less relevant and I'm not sure.

Are you measuring from the wall? It might be different in 120V vs 240V countries due to conversion losses. Or it might only be 25W with DC in and 35W when powered with AC. Otherwise I don't have suggestions.

Yes, wall Power with two different power measurement devices that report the same number (with +-0.1 difference)

240V 50Hz (good Europe power :) )

The 25W were always reported for AC, and there's another guy in a German forum that has an ICX6450-24P and gets 25W wall power with the same model of power measurement device

If he hasn't already you'll soon be getting a DM from him about it.

The guy admits he's a full time YTber so maxing out his revenue stream would be in his best interest. I wonder what went wrong with the stacking ports. They don't require any licenses. Most likely the default is configured for stacking and that's why things didn't link up. Or he connected to the wrong ports: two are always broken out, two are not. At 12:44, he shows the 40G is connected to 1/2/1, which is the non-broken out port. Earlier he only mentions break out DAC cables.

I found it strange there were a ton of people who commented about this thread but haven't seen a URL, but didn't go through every comment. When mentioned on Reddit there are URLs everywhere.

I could see that he list the nics he use They are HP Infiniband FDR/Ethernet nics could it be that the Mellanox nics ether did not switch to Ethernet or they are flashed with a non ethernet firmware. I know i had some problems with my connectx-2 that they would not always switch to ethernet. But again we dont know because it is the switches fault. And i have to be sure we dont give him idea's for a part 3 about the crappy HP nics he have bought. Heck it could be the QSFP+ cable also we dont know again because it must be the switch.

That is so true. @itronin is correct. Enterprise stuff and plug and play don't go together. YTber was spoiled by Ubiquiti gear.

Do you really need ethernet FW? I set my ports to ethernet instead of VPI. I have Mellanox- and HP-branded cards. No difference in functionality except Windows device discovery.
