Ah, if you come this way, I have free electricity. Don't care, talk 2026 again.
If you were genuinely asking it didn't come across that way as I even thought it was snarky. Unless your only point to post in this thread was to stir something up...

You are probably correct. I could not help myself but to counter a semi-helpfull note why someone is using 10G SFP+ over 10G T-Base with the reason why I use 10G T-Base. You like it or not.

Even cheaper? ;)
Due to the blue 'Fan Handles' looks like the -R version. @Fritz Did you make an offer or did you just buy it from the table?

EDIT: Now just saw its also in the description 'Rear to Front'

I want to pull the trigger on one of these, but I was hoping someone who gets one can chime in on how loud the things are with a 40% fan reduction. I had to get rid of my ICX6610 because of the noise and have 2x 7250s currently with modified fans, so they stay pretty quiet.

Once there are booted they are not bad at all. I can sleep with 3 in a room running. Well I should say three arista switches. All of them half loaded up with optics. 20 - 40gig optics and 46 - 10gig optics. All single mode. They take slightly less power than multi mode optics. We have a cot in the datacenter noc where I work. So I kind of find it soothing. But my wife can’t stand the one that is in the washroom down the hall at home.

I have a similar switch - DCS-7050T-64-R - that that I have 3xQSFP and somewhere around 15-20 RJ45s connected with the fan profile set at 70%.

Code:
Power Input Output Output
Supply Model Capacity Current Current Power Status
------- -------------------- --------- -------- -------- -------- -------------
1 PWR-460AC-R 460W 0.50A 8.38A 97.0W Ok
2 PWR-460AC-R 460W 0.50A 8.50A 103.0W Ok
Total -- 920W -- -- 200.0W --

Fair ball--no harm no foul. Just keep in mind that what you send out you need to be able to take as well.

Mine arrived today and I'm actually quite impressed. It's in pristine condition and works as advertised. Seller reset it back to factory default so I had to configure access via the serial port. It has no web interface (except a paid one available from Arista), this is no big deal, I won't have to reconfig often and the OS is Cisco-ish enough that it won't be a big deal.

Yea, all 10G switches suck up gobs of power. i also have a 10G SFP switch I'm not using because of the power drain. This one I plan to use only as needed for large transfers. One thing on the plus side tho, is it's actually pretty quiet.
