You are probably correct. I could not help myself but to counter a semi-helpfull note why someone is using 10G SFP+ over 10G T-Base with the reason why I use 10G T-Base. Yea, all 10G switches suck up gobs of power. i also have a 10G SFP switch I'm not using because of the power drain. This one I plan to use only as needed for large transfers. One thing on the plus side tho, is it's actually pretty quiet.not horrible not great
I just put a semi older 24 port sfp+ into homelab yesterday, needed more ports... then checked usage with 2 ports... 270w!!! checked rated idle spec, 343w ;D
