I have an earlier model, the 7050S. With a fan swap, at rest with no transceivers, 75W to 80W at the wall. It's a fantastic switch, just make sure you can find a firmware update for it... check the hash code on the Arista web site. How power hungry are these?
The good thing about great deals is that if you are able to quickly try it out, usually someone else will buy it for the same price if you don't want it.Got an offer for 125, tempting but just concern about the actual noise.
Huh, I offered $125 but got a counteroffer for $160 saying it's the lowest they could go.Got an offer for 125, tempting but just concern about the actual noise.

That's The STH Effect. If they don't sell out watch them change their tune in the next few weeks.Huh, I offered $125 but got a counteroffer for $160 saying it's the lowest they could go.
No, they do not. I have mine sitting on top of a Ayava POE+ switch and shutting it down there is no change in the sound level which means it's either quieter than the Avaya or about the same noise level. Granted it's not quiet but it's not objectionable either.I joined the club this afternoon as my offer was accepted! Praying these things modded don't sound like a jet aircraft taking off =)
do they still support the same fan control commands?I recently bought a couple of Avaya 4850GTS-PWR+. They're excellent. Highly recommend.
