Not sure if people on here care for consumer-grade stuff, but this is currently available for $15 on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076H9RQTW
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076H9RQTW

(As usual free ship with Prime or with orders over $25)

The NETGEAR GS908E Smart Managed Plus Desktop Switch features 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet, desktop housing with integrated cable management that keeps cables tangle-free and hidden from view, 2 x USB charging ports to charge external devices, and a fanless design for quiet operation.

Supports Link Aggregation (LAG only):
Static Manual LAGs (Port Trunking): Yes
# of Static LAGs / # of members in each: 2 LAGs with maximum 4 members in each LAG

And, for the USB ports:
2-port
10W maximum per port
20W maximum total
(so 5V/2A each port)
USB-ports are only for charging, no data connection.

Data sheet here:
https://www.netgear.com/images/datasheet/switches/GS908_GS908E.pdf
(This data sheet is for both the GS908 (unmanaged) and the managed switch (GS908E) that is the subject of this post.)

The slots for the cables at the back are actually pretty narrow and won't work for most round and especially thicker cables, so that flap/cover has to stay open/flipped-up.
Like apparently is the case for many Netgear consumer-grade switches the management access is fixed to VLAN1 and can't be changed.

Bought one of these in January when it was $16.99, I haven't even opened the box it came in yet. These cheap switches have some interesting/useful features like a cable TDR tester and port mirroring, good for a diagnostics kit.

any good at passing traffic for an HTPC, Console and some workstations? or is the downside on price the throughput?

If all you're doing is VLANning the traffic should move at wire speed. If you set up any ACLs or bandwidth limits then the traffic has to hit the CPU and there might be slowdown (though, it doesn't take a lot of CPU to bridge packets).
