Incorrect, der8auer used an Elmor EVC device to control the motherboard's IC externally. This should work with any motherboard that provides those IC pins.not correct at all. der8auer overclocked EPYC 7601 to all core 3,8 Ghz and more on a supermicro h11ssl
and dual 7601 on a ASUS SP3 board.
afaik he used a customized ZenStates app. to overcome the OCP shutdown of the VRM unit he tweaked the VRM controller with ElmorLabs EVC device.
In software, as far as I know, you can only O/C ES and QS chips (that have part # that ends in -04), and as far as I know it was only done on Naples and Rome (1st and 2nd gen Epyc).
