Hello everyone,
I've got a Supermicro X8DTE-F that was working just fine until now.
Symptoms:
* When pressing the power-on button, the system tries to spin up the fans, but nothing happens. No beeps, nothing.
* BMC heartbeat led on the motherboard is flashing
* Onboard Power LED is OFF
* Network LED's on
* IPMI Network LED on
What I've done:
Swapped power supplies with a new one. Same issues.
Verified that the CMOS battery is still good
Removed Ram and CPU's and then tried to boot - nothing.
Inserted one CPU into CPU1 and tried to boot - nothing
Checked the IMPI logs, but there was stuff from 1970(!) in there. So I cleared the logs in the hopes a attempt to power up the system would register something. Nope. Nothing.
What I'm going to try next - Clear the CMOS
But I'm thinking that the motherboard is dead dead dead. Based on the symptoms and troubleshooting to date, have I missed any thing before coming to this conclusion?
Thanks in advance!
