Has anyone used those with Dimm-to-sodimm adapters? Price is really good for an unbuffered DDR4 module from this density. A full size module is easily $80+
I don't own these SODIMMs (yet) but I tested another DDR4 ECC SODIMM in the SODIMM to DIMM Adapters you can buy from AliExpress for around $5 in a TX1320 M3 and it made it through 4 passes of Memtest86+ without error, ECC enabled:

You cannot mix these adapters with normal DIMMs (tried that before and it doesn't work due to mismatched trace lengths) but it should work if you only installed SODIMMs in the adapters. The adapter does make the memory module taller than 1U can accommodate.

Keep in mind Skylake won't work with 32GB UDIMMs

So anyone who bought these and can't use them because they wouldn't POST, you should be able to use them in a desktop system as ECC UDIMMs.

Edit: also passed memtest in the Gigabyte MC12-LE0 with a Ryzen 5 5600, so it should be fine for both Intel/AMD.

Again, these tests were performed with a different ECC SODIMM. This is just to show that SODIMM->DIMM adapters work.

WOW, ordered 2 yesterday and they arrived today. Excellent.

I can attest that they work in a Shuttle XPC Slim DH3700 with a i7 8700. No ECC support in CPU so they work as standard UDIMMs.

That's a good news! I bought the RAM and was planning to use it on HP thinclient T740 but it doesn't work. Can you share the Aliexpress link of the adapter? I might want to buy some. Thanks!

I am not going to link directly because AliExpress sellers pull items all the time and any link I post will be a 404 in 6 months.

Here is the item description of my most recent order:
"Laptop To Desktop SO-DIMM To PC DIMM Card DDR3 DDR4 DDR5 Memory RAM Memory Stick"

From a previous order:
"DDR3 DDR4 DDR5 Laptop To Desktop Memory Adapter Card SO-DIMM To PC DIMM Card DDR3 DDR4 DDR5 Memory RAM Connector Adapter"

I would recommend buying more than you expect, DOAs are not uncommon.

Any luck? ;)
Yes. I just put two sticks in a latitude e5570. It booted up and recognized both sticks for the full 64GB just fine. I browsed the internet for a few minutes and did not notice any instability. I also checked dmesg and didn't see any problems there either.

I bought some. Very fast overnight fedex delivery. Unfortunately, it does not boot up inside a Dell latitude 7390 laptop with the i5-8365u cpu ;(

They work in a Lenovo M700 Tiny, specs say the M700 supports up to 32GB of ram but I can verify that it sees and uses all 64GB. Seller does an excellent packing job. Comes in a good sized box that's unlikely to get lost.

So I have used these adapters in the DDR3 era, and while they "work" be careful. I found that I could not get aggressive with clock rates, and in fact run them under the rated memory speed (for instance running 1333 at 1033), otherwise I would get weird spurious crashes. They would pass memtest86 but not real life. (a more intense windows memory tester like tm5 might catch them but I didn't use that back then).

but, with that caveat, they were a really handy way to throw together a working system with spare parts, or to bulk test sodimms quickly.

don't know why it's not working on my dell latitude 7390 and 5400 with the i5-8365u cpu. just keep getting no boot with the status LED indicating no boot due to wrong memory configuration... ;(

For anybody curious, these work perfectly fine in a Synology 1821+ NAS (AMD Ryzen V1500B), running at 2133 w/ ECC
