Hi,

I intend to purchase a SuperMicro server board like the X10DRT-P : X10DRT-P | Motherboards | Products | Super Micro Computer, Inc.

In the manual there no specific on PSU. In general, is a [ 1200w 24-pin + 2x8-pin PSU ATX2.4x/EPS2.9x ] PSU compatible with this kind of board ?
Do I need to buy $$$ SuperMicro PSU ?
Any recommendation on third party PSU to use with this board ?

I know that SuperMicro Workstation boards usually accomodate well with 3rd party PSU. I'm not sure for the server board.

Thanks.

With a Supermicro ATX style board, a regular EPS PSU with the correct number of 8 pin 12v connections will work. The X10DRT-P you linked to isn't designed to work with a normal PSU. That board needs a special case designed to handle multiple X10DRT-P boards which connect on a proprietary back plane connection to the PSU in the chassis. If you want to use it, look at the bottom of the page you linked to under the chassis section.
