Supermicro CSE-846 advice needed

Hi, I am looking at purchasing an SC846E1-R900B chassis on eBay. I would like to upgrade the backplane from BPN-SAS-846EL1 to BPN-SAS2-846EL1 and the power supply to PWS-920P-SQ. It looks like the PWS-920P-SQ power supply requires the PDB-PT846-8824 power distributer instead of the older PDB-PT846-2824 power distributer.

Does that sound right? Do you see any issues with this plan? Are there any particular revision numbers of CSE-846 chassis I need to ensure compatibiity?
Motherboard is a X9SRL-F with 4U Active CPU Heatsink SNK-P0050AP4.

Is the PWS-721P suitable? If you can get away with the lower wattage, that should be compatible with the existing power distributor, no?

I put 1280w SQ PSU's in a couple of my older 846's. Had to use a Dremel tool to make them fit but the work just fine.

721P is obviously cheaper at about $50 on eBay but you would still have a fan spinning when the unit is powered off and they can still get noisy. I say that from first hand experience as I changed to the 721, but still annoyed the crap out of me so switched them all to the 920SQ's. Much better. I have multiple different PDU's in mine so I'll take a look and see which ones I have to give you more options.
