Yes !Did anyone from here buy a 6450P-24?
please see my megathread intro, target is passive silence with optional full hell mitigation.Yes !
I am also thinking to get a 48 in order to be more future proof. Thermal dissipation won't be that much different so silent operation are possible.
And maybe one day you will have the use of these additional 24 portsI bought one 6450-48p. A 24p would have been more than enough for my house, but there weren't any left and I prefer the symmetry of the 48 ports
I haven't been to him in a while, next time i'm around i'll ask him.Only screamers remain? Nothing passive-cooled?
I bought the 2 6450-24 thanks to this Post.Looks like he sold all of the 6450-48P's and 2 6450-24's.
He doesn't have anything passively cooled anymore.I haven't been to him in a while, next time i'm around i'll ask him.
That's meSpoke to him btw, he sold a few to someone in Slovakia.
To be honest, if you replace the fans with maglev versions, albeit a little lower airflow, the noise is acceptable.Only screamers remain? Nothing passive-cooled?
Could try emailing him and ask if he's got any left that aren't listed, last time I was at his place hes got some switches that weren't listed on his site.Been monitoring his webshop to buy a 2nd PoE model for a decent price. So far no luck. Patience is virtue, right? :d
Do you have a link to a suitable replacement fan?To be honest, if you replace the fans with maglev versions, albeit a little lower airflow, the noise is acceptable.
Stock fans the DB at boot was around 90 - 98 and 70 when booted.
After replacing the fans, the boot is 65 - 70, and idle about 40. Which was only 3 - 4 dB over ambient.
I have bought https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006ODM76C?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details. But i geuss any fan with those dimensions work. Also something you need to be aware off. The order of the pins on the switch board is not standard. Measure before you connect. I think i followed this video entirely, up to the FAN suggestion.Do you have a link to a suitable replacement fan?
