yea, tried both. i finally got them to "work" by using a brand new aruba 1960 switch with poe class 6 802.3bt ports. even though the r750 supports
Both came up on a class 3 poe injector and my hasivo multi-gig poe+ switch.

Both had static IP's configured as they weren't sending out DHCP requests.
Reset button fixed that.
One had zone firmware.
logged in with default creds, loaded unleashed and it adopted into my existing network.

I should have taken a screenshot of the zone one... it had something about Access Networks Multimedia Wireless Hub or some other.
made me laugh. jibber-jabber for non-technical wealthy peeps.

The other was unleashed already and adopted but old version so bumped to what I'm running and again done.

nice buy.

glad they're working for you! i just took the one that was negotiating at 100mbps with the 90ft cable and tried two 3ft cables straight up into the poe switch. it registered once at 1gbps and once at 100mbps. this unit is busted. the other unit is doing great at 2.5gbps with a 40ft cable run.

did anyone buy an extra/spare that would be willing to sell to me? half of my house is limping along and i can't put my r710 back into the lineup since it's on old unleashed f/w.

edit: I bought an A750 on ebay for $180 + $15 shipping.

I also had the same "no power" issue. so far the only thing I've been able to get to work was to use a QNAP switch PoE+ switch. Oddly enough the PoE++ ports on the same switch didn't work. Also tried a Brocade icx7150-24p and that also didn't work. I don't know what's up with the PoE on these but they seem picky. Minus that they seem to be working great. Went from 3 Omada EAP 760s to one R750, lol. Might just install another one downstairs so the one stuffed into the ceiling of the upstairs hallway closet doesn't feel lonely.

Anybody have any experience with the "Dedicated Master" mode on these?

r750 has no 6ghz radio that's normal, the 6ghz settings showing up anyway was introduced a few unleashed versions ago. the rest of that sounds like these all took an indirect strike or something and the magnetics are all FRIGGY
I think the 6G setting is showing up because you are selecting the edit button for the AP group. If you select the edit button for the particular AP you won't see 6G settings.

Did the new one you bought have the same picky PoE issues?

Spoke too soon. 2 out of the 4 I ordered don't work at all.. Sigh.. time to return.

I got a refund for 1 easily. 1 is working great. I ordered a 2nd unit from another seller and that one just set up perfectly, negotiated at 2.5g poe. I'm good for now!

Ditto, I tried powering mine via 2 different PoE+ switches and a PoE+ injector. No power LED.
Either the PoE port is fried or the whole access point is fried, won't know until I can get a power adapter.
Update:
I reached out to the seller and requested a exchange and they ended up refunding me without requiring me to send back the access point.
So I went ahead and opened it up and probed it, I determined that the PD70224 chip for PoE was damaged (On the backside of the board, if you need help locating it see here).
I went ahead and ordered a replacement chip and replaced the one on the board and it works flawlessly now!
So if you have a AP that won't power on with PoE and have similar circumstances as me I'd recommend giving this a shot.

Nice! Any tips for disassembly and/or tips for probing? Time to figure out how to solder with a heatgun I suppose...

Disassembly is pretty straightforward, just remove all the screws on the board.
The board will want to stick to the metal half to the case due to the thermal pads, so you want to work it carefully with a plastic prybar at the corners near the status LEDs and eventually the pads will give and it'll separate.

For probing I just worked my way up from the pins of the ethernet port following the traces testing continuity on each component individually, everything worked fine up to that chip.
It's basically impossible to probe without taking it off and it was the last step before the main power traces (You can use a flashlight from behind they are pretty visible) so I made a educated guess that it was the culprit. Luckily I was correct.

do you mind testing (in case you can) whether the AP is now less "picky" about PoE power sources? I wonder if the issues with them not working on certain switches have to do with a similarly fried PoE chip.

It works on all of the power sources I tried prior, but with this in mind I only have one access point and It was flat out not working.
So I don't know if the chip would be the source of any of the "picky" symptoms cause it had none to begin with (beyond not working at all).

Wow, this other A750 unit (from a different seller) died in the middle of the night. It won't power on at all on PoE anymore. These things are flaky!

that is pretty wild. Wonder what's going on.

I bought a 48V AC adapter to test the ones that weren't powering on via PoE and they don't power on at all either.

Got mine today.

One powers on, but does not establish a link. The other one does not power on at all. Trying to get a refund.

EDIT: The two from fastscrap are also dead as a stone.
Tried with both ICX7450-48P and ICX6450-48P

mine (or at least the ones that worked) didn't work on my brocade switches either. They did work on my QNAP switch however.

Feeling bad recommending this deal now that everyone is getting DOA units :(

not your fault - always risk on stuff like this! it definitely has me skeptical on keeping my remaining unit that's been stable, though. R760/R750/R650's are expensive. R760 isn't an option since it doesn't have Unleashed and requires a support contract. R710 is End of Life and starting to lag on Unleashed updates. R720 is crappy WiFi 6 (I had them before).

i'm thinking of trying Aruba Instant On AP32/AP25 units.

I'm surprised that the ones from fastscrap also do not work. Didn't have an issue with them in the past, their stuff was always top notch.

One AP even had some plastic foil attached that looked like from factory. But they did not come in original packaging (fastscrap always does this if they have it).

I wonder where all those broken APs came from?? Because it's not only this one seller, it's two now.

once upon a time, quite a while ago I was able to get in on a deal of new ruckus r750s at quite a bit more than this deal (and they still likely fell off the back of a truck).

I have been using them on and still are rock solid on a 2.5Gbe: 7150-48zp, Hasivo Multigig POE++ switch; 1Gbe: 7250-480p, 7250-24p, brocade icx6610 and an icx6450-24p.

There is something off with these Access A750's. the failures make me think one of two things:

1) Either all deployed at a single customer that had a catastrophic power event and were returned to Access under warranty

2) Simply a bunch of returns to Access because the multimedia installers don't know how to power protect their stuff...

Maybe these units were headed from Access to e-waste and someone dumpster dove or an enterprising e-waster tested a couple using a straight up poe injector or power supply and got them to work so salvaged them all.

doesn't change the fact that they do appear to be a bum lot. Both of mine tested working with a ruckus poe injector and a power supply. Neither of mine would come up on a switch like my R750's...

This seems to be likely given the consistency. I’m going to get a couple of those PoE chips and try my hand at IC soldering. anybody have suggestions on a decent hot air station?

Kind of bummed but I guess you win some you lose some with the eBay lottery
