Hello @JaxJiang can you please send me the 1.24 bios? I am in the same boat, my MS-01 came with 1.22 and I am having performance issues. Need to reboot multiple times a day. Thanks in advance!

I also haven't seen a crash since 1.24 BIOS upgrade. Prior to the upgrade, my best uptime was maybe a couple weeks over the 5 MS01s I have in my proxmox cluster.
Responding to my own post, I spoke one day too soon. Had my first crash after upgrading to 1.24 BIOS. Had around 20 days of uptime but alas, even with the 1.24, these systems are not stable or reliable.

I'll probably need to go another direction at this point. The MS01 experiment will conclude as a failure, and an expensive one at that.

@JaxJiang I'm also experiencing random crashes and would like to beta test the 1.24 BIOS. If you could please send me a download link, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,

I have a new MS01 device and since several days I have crashes in Proxmox.

I am currently using 2x48 DDR5 Ram from Cruzial.
Could I please also get the latest bios.

Is it sure that the Kingston memory will help?

@JaxJiang Can you send me the beta test Bios 1.24.

1 Step i buy the Kingston Ram.
2. Step i update the Bios.
3. Test the System

Do I only have to update the bios?

Best regards

Joe

Hey @JaxJiang, I would also like to try the BIOS 1.24. I have the MS-01 i5-12600H with 2 x 48 GB Crucial - DDR5 5600 MHz / PC5-44800 (CT48G56C46S5) and Proxmox running. My system crashes every few days (at least once a week) and then doesn't respond to anything until I switch it off. The fans are running at full load. I really hope the BIOS update helps, otherwise I'll have to look for another workstation.

1. what kind of workload on your ms-01, system, running software.

On my system is Debian Proxmox.
I have 3 VM.

The first VM is a Unfi controller with 2 GB Ram 1 CPU.

Second VM is a Debian DHCP server 2 GB Ram 1 CPU

The third is my CISCO FMC for my firewall with 4 CPU and 32 GB Ram

2. which port do you use. NVME/PCIE. 10G/2.5G
I currently only have 2.5G in the future I will upgrade to 10G
Unfortunately I only have 1G uplinks on my switch.

I have 2 NVME Samsung PRO 2 TB NVME in Raid 1 for Proxmox.

3. which usage environment?
Could you provide more information?

What information do you need? ?
I can give you what you need for some tests.

The utilization is not very high at the moment it is very fluctuating.
The CPU is only slightly utilized, I suspect that the interaction between the CPU and the RAM is not working properly and since it is an INTEL CPU probably the INTEL error is present.

I update now to 1.25 to test all. Since i install 1.24 with ram Freq 4400 i had no issue. I test now the Bios 1.25.

At the moment I still have the Crucial Ram installed with the Freq 4400 and I have no crashes or freezing.

If there are problems, I would test the Kingston Ram and report back.

Running MS-01 i9-13900H with 96GB of ram using Kingston ValueRAM 2x modules. (Bios stock - 1.22, if i'm not mistaken)
Current uptime 18 days, so no issues so far with Kingston memory.

Is there a stress test on a new system that one can perform on Proxmox and just let it loop 24 hours?

It's running 24/7 12+ VMs on Proxmox (3 node cluster) including kubernetes node. Right now used about 80GB memory on MS-01.

Obiously, I was writing this in term of potential.

I would be glad to test the beta BIOS and report here any success or failure with it @JaxJiang
Hello,
My 2 MS-01s 13900H / 48Gb Crucial DDR5 are still rebooting in an untimely manner, and i haven't be contacted by @JaxJiang for the beta BIOS, could someone be kind enough to DM/link me the 1.24+ BIOS to see if it fixes this ?
Thanks

I'm curious, has anyone used the Kingston 96gb ram (KVR56S46BD8K2-96) and suffered reboots/crashes? I haven't seen any reports of issues with the Kingston memory, so I wanted to poll here.

Is it the DDR5-4800 or the DDR5-5600 kit you use? How long has your ms-01 been running stable with this RAM?
