Hi,

I bought 5 of these via Kleinanzeigen from this seller and he is legit and friendly. I paid 520/5, with buyer protection a little extra on top.

They look to be used server disks, but overall still in good health.

He'll send Crystal Disk info if asked, disks were 98-99% health left.

And those are 3.84T?
On the pics he has 1.6 TB ones which makes those Max I assume, not pro's and not what he is selling in the first place

I suspect they used a wrong stock photo. If you look at the actual photos of the drives, you can just guess a "3T8" in the product number (I think).

He was selling 3.84TB which I bought. Sorry this might be another advert of his as he was selling multiple drives.

Why put fake price in the thread name?

Price is 120 euros plus almost 5 for shipping

Kleinanzeigen is dangerous though. There is no way to ensure he/she ships the Goods once you paid. DBA in Denmark is/was similar ...

I used the available buyer protection. Which is that if within two weeks you didn't get the items exactly as described (eg. seller sends you a brick and has a real tracking number), you get your money back.

For me this makes it safe. Not sure if there is a way to game this system.

So they changed something in Kleinanzeigen (and apparently DBA in Denmark did too after I got frauded in 2022).

Ever since I became quite skeptical of everything besides eBay+Paypal to be honest ...

Closing thread as the seller isn't advertising more drives. If he is, just click on his Kleinanzeigen profile as linked in the first post and check his other adverts.

FML I don't know how to close the thread. Fail.

In my case the Registration on Kleinanzeigen didn't work at all even after several Days ....
That's odd, it's a pretty big platform,so I am sure they would be aware if it is widespread.

Off topic.

The beauty with Micron enterprise drives, is unlike Samsung which hides their firmware and only provides to vendors it appears, Micron SSDs are simple to update their firmware. Just follow the steps on their website, also have a Windows GUI app if you're lazy.

I updated them via USB to SATA adapter. Didn't even matter that they are EOL, firmware update went easy - as it should be...
