Intel R2208LT2 Server 19" 4x Xeon E5-4650 | 32GB RAM | LSI 9271-8i | 2x450GB HDD
Even though this is an auction I dont think the price will go up a whole lot seeing as not a lot of people are looking into buying a freaking 4p server, but for such a new server and such a powerfull server this is a great price and if I had the money and the use for such a server I would jump it in. The seller unfortunately only ships to Germany but I doubt he will refuse it to ship it to an EU country. These 4p servers also seem to be extremely rare, the only 4p servers I have ever seen on ebay are the dl580's, but never any intel or supermicro gear.
Loving the new tags @Patrick, thanks :D

Wow, that seems like a really cool, really powerful server, 4 x 8 core LGA 2011 Xeon's (11,900 CPU bench score EACH), and 12 x ram slots PER CPU! 2 x port 10-gbit network + 2 x GIG ports... dang!

Cant find any on ebay US sold or current :( I assume it will go for pretty high with 1 day 19h left and 16 bidders at 306 EURO currently. Im glad i now know this exists so i can keep an eye out for one :) Thanks

I probably won't like what I hear, but here goes...

Am I right in my calculations that 4x 130Watts CPUs will need ~2 Ampère @ 230Volts ???

(assuming max load of course, but I believe that's what most datacenters bill based on)

But wow the powerdraw on that sucker. @istav555 Draw will be more like 3 amps full load with discs, controller and ram..

Anyone know how to say "would you be willing to ship this to the UK, and if so, how much would it cost?" in German? :p

As someone who knows shipping in EU, I would say that this beast would probably cost 500-1000 EUR alone in shipping to UK. If you have a shipping deal with one of the big companies you can get somewhere between 70-50 per cent off that. So my suggestion is to contact a local company that deals with a lot of shipping and make a deal with them.

"Sind Sie bereit dieses server zum UK zu senden bitte?" Not my best German but he should be able to understand it. Tough im willing to bet the seller understands English. And if he says no, I have an adres to Germany and would be willing to forward it.

€120 to UK he says. And yes, you were right, he speaks perfect English (just to further add to my shame of not speaking German!).

He understands English, he told me that it's 50€ to ship it to NL ;)

I don't even have a colo in NL but if this sells for 1000-1500€ I'll just store it until I use it!!

I'm not going to look because I HATE HATE HATE bidding - there's no way to win! (ok...I know a way, just pay more that I'm prepared to...but that's no fun!)
