I actually have this issue on a both of the 1L machines I recently got. The other is a ThinkCentre m75q-1.

The issue is with display port, whenever I am using display port for my display it flickers on the screen. Not a full on and off to complete black. Basically the lower half every other second it glitches, I am not sure how to describe it, I could upload a video if that is an option here. Luckily I am using these for servers so I do not really need a display for them. When I set up the Lenovo, I did try HDMI since I had that option on that unit, and there was no flickering at all. But on the HP unit there is only 2 display ports. I have tried to install an older version of the bios, but this didnt work. I have tried to uninstall the display driver via device manager on windows 11. Nothing has corrected this issue. Another note is that when I boot to my Ventoy USB drive it still flickers, so I do not think that it is an OS issue. There is no GPU, its just an IGPU from the ryzen 5 PRO 3400G.

The instances that it is happening is weird, considering it seems to be contained to displayport, and its on both of the units. I have used multiple cables and monitors to no avail.

Again, since I am using these for servers, this issue does not really matter for me. But I would like to figure it out and fix it so that in the future if I decide to use these for something else, I can without the display issue.

Any help would be appreciated. This is my first post here, and I did not see a help section. So I am just posting here.

Is the device supported by hp to run w11?

I have a bunch of these, no probs on w11, tho. But neither ubuntu nor fedora seem to boot well. Successful boot into os takes multiple tries, but havent really troubleshooted the issue because havent had the time, and in the end, it works even if it takes multiple tries.

I somehow feel like the kernel doesnt really like the 3400g chipset/gpu.
