In case anyone else wants to use SNMP with this board: I got the MIB-file from Gigabyte - including explicit permission to share it.
I can finally gather basic server information with Node Red for monitoring again :)
Thanks!

Did anyone with this board get sata hotswap working? I'm trying it out just now, and it seems that it doesn't work :/

Nah, that wasn't the case. But i figured it out. On intel platforms there are 4 sata link power manamgement policies
- max_power
- medium_power
- med_power_with_dipm
- min_power

med_power_with_dipm and lower disable port sensing, so if you remove a disk in that state, the host won't notice, and after that the port is disabled. Well, here it seems that even medium_power has that effect. So only max_power seems to work for hotswap

if you have a PSU over PowerDistributionUnit connected over PMBus check cables.
if you have std. ATX PSU this is normal.

Is anyone running 128GB ECC? And if so, which RAM part numbers with what CPU?
I'm using MC12-LE0 board with 5900X CPU and 4x KSM32ED8/32HC, and it seems to work correctly:
Stable without any problems, running Proxmox. VM with GPU pass-through and 64GB RAM used as everyday workstation, remaining memory split between small VMs and ZFS cache.

Since about April of last year, I've been running 4x32 Crucial/Micron DDR4-3200 ECC UDIMMs. SKU is MTA18ASF4G72AZ-3G2R . dmidecode shows part number 18ASF4G72AZ-3G2F1.

I ran memtest quite a while on this (probably 48 hours?) initially, and have been running with zero issues since. Originally with a 5700x and more recently with a 5950G.

guys, for these of you using this board with Asus hyper m.2 v4, what case are you using? there are not many large micro-atx compatible cases that will fill long full PCIE cards. I have tried JONSBO N4 but no joy:( thank you

Hi Everyone, i am new here and i am posting in this topic due to a little desperation... :)
I have been labbing/configuring a little bit with NginX Proxy Manager with adding SSL to all my internal sites through nginx.
Stupidly, I added my certificate to the BMC management console (thinking i could use that when connecting to the BMC web portal) and after that i can no longer reach the BMC web portal.

I have tried resetting the BMC through the terminal of the host OS and it seems to be reset to the defaults, but i am still not able to access the web portal for the bmc.

How screwed am i? anyone else been through something similar?

try to reflash BMC FW with socflash.

if oyu add your own cert. you have to configure your browser to use it too(don't ask how)
Thanks for the answer.
Can i reflash the BMC without having access to the portal? can it be done through the bios? currently i cannot access the bios so i cant check.

Hi, sorry for the miscommunication, the reason i could not access the bios was because i did not have a VGA cable, but i have one now, so i can access the BIOS.
As i am running truenas on this server, i guess i have to boot up another OS to run socflash/gigaflash? Where exactly can i find this gigaflash program?

efi can run in integrated EF Shell(Boot option)
you find the utils in the BMC Firmware ZIP you have downloaded.....
