Well, a year ago it was 40 euros. 3 mounths ago it was 200 and now 350-400.

There are better equipped boards cheaper than this. Why it is so high right now?
350-400 is the normal price for these.

The drop in price was from a large surplus of boards from a host being sold off.

Its boards that were once bought at 300+ but they stopped building am4.
so they sold the remaining at a loss to PIO that resold parts of them to other resellers.

They were already selling at 350-400 since there was no cheaper alternatives offering the same.

Don't think the prices will come down in 2 years time. It is a very capable board.
I'm selling one of them in the other thread under 150. I think it is a fair price for this hardware now

Hey I'm trying to post with the Ryzen 5 4650G but no success so far, I hope you guys could help me.

System specs:
  • Motherboard: GIGABYTE MC12-LE0
  • PSU: Cooler master MWE 550.
  • RAM: 2 sticks of Kingston ECC KSM32ES8/8HD
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4650G
  • BMC: 12.61.21 (latest version)
  • BIOS: Updated to F18 (latest version)
  • I'm checking POST status via BMC and H5 viewer (shows "no signal")
What I've Already Tried
CPU Testing

  • Installed Ryzen 5 4650G - no POST
  • Got the store to replace the 4650G with another one - still no POST (they say they test the CPUs before selling, but I could not confirm this)
  • Tested with a borrowed Ryzen 5 3600 - successfully POSTs (with non-ECC RAM, did not remember to test with my ECC Ram).
RAM Testing
  • Tried one ECC RAM stick in every slot (A0, A1, B0, B1) with the 4650G - no POST
  • Tested with non-ECC RAM - still no POST with the 4650G
  • (The non-ECC RAM works fine with the Ryzen 3600)
Troubleshooting Steps Completed
  • Updated BIOS to latest version (F18)
  • Cleared CMOS multiple times
  • Tried booting with minimal configuration (just CPU and one RAM stick)
  • Tried booting with CPU but no RAM (did not hear any beep codes)
-----
What Should I Try Next?
I'm trying to avoid buying additional parts that might not solve the issue. What would you recommend?
  • Try another power supply?
  • Try a different APU model?
  • Any other troubleshooting steps I might have missed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I've spent many hours on this issue already and I'm running out of ideas.
Thanks

How long are you waiting for a post? might take 5 min first time. After that it takes a couple of min due to waiting for te BMC to come up.
I probably did not wait 5 minutes for every try :( but the last couple of times with CPU + RAM in A1 Slot I waited more than 5 min.

You got any non ECC ddr4? I would try that. I had an issue when trying ECC in mine. Getting it to boot finally with non ECC then swaped back in the ECC and it worked. Dunno what was going on there.

- Tried with one stick in A1 non ECC ddr4, still no post.
- Also tried clearing the CMOS, and changing the RAM stick to B1, still no post.

Definitely test the cpu in a different machine if you can. Also, replace cmos battery - it's likely dead. Shouldnt prevent posting but makes the board behave a little odd :)
Replaced the battery, still nothing.

Do you have a graphics card installed? The video output will default to the VGA even if you do.
No, I don't have any graphics card installed.

So the last few days have been a bit chaotic...
I manage to get another PC to test the Ryzen 5 4650G, and it got to the BIOS in a B450 Tomahawk Max.
Also I tried again in my MC12-LE0 motherboard with the Ryzen 5 3600 but now with my RAM and I was able to POST and get to the BIOS.

So I'm not sure what to do :( I think I will give up on the 4650G and buy a 3600, what do you guys think or have any CPU suggestion?
Did I forgot to test anything?

Thanks.

So the last few days have been a bit chaotic..
I know this will be of little comfort but...I'd like to add that you're not crazy o_O I too have been struggling with my board the last week or so on and off and I am in exactly the same position. Seems no matter what steps I follow, just can't get the system to POST/No Output on VGA or H5 Viewer etc.

Like you I've tried:

- Multiple combinations of firmware updates, BMC updates (including the 12.61.35) and irrespective of the success messages, I'm still not able to POST
- Multiple combinations of RAM in various configurations (I don't have ECC only 4x 8GB DDR4 Corsair)
- Switched out the PSU: 1st EVGA 450B3 /2nd Coolermaster 500W /current Coolermaster 650W
- Removed all additional components - no NVME, no SATA connected, even pulled the USB case header leads, leaving just the case power buttons etc.
- Removed and reseated the CPU cooler (Gelid inc. in the bundle) and checked the pins on the 4650G before refitting
- Removed the CMOS battery a couple of times, shorted the CLR_CMOS pins half a dozen times. Fitted a new CMOS battery yesterday.

I appreciate that perhaps I was a little naive in thinking I could get a server going with just the board and a collection of spares from years of building gaming machines for my sons, but this is infuriating.

I've got an order out for some Crucial RAM as obviously Corsair aren't on the QVL but aside from buying another CPU I'm quickly running out of ideas. Unfortunately I don't have another AM4 system to try the parts with so it is possible, that my 4650G is faulty and I may have to try and source something like a 3600 locally.

Keep yer' chin up and if I do manage to get it working I'll come back and share! ;)

Richy.
