It is not, trx40 can do around 1800 if fabric max with some people making it go to 19xxAre you saying that infinity fabric on trx is not limited to 1467MHz?
Or do you mean that I'd partly mitigate losing 50% of the memory channels by gaining 30% more memory clock speed?
I am eyeing the recently announced 7F72, but they still seem to be unavailable for purchase, and the price is double compared to a 7402P which makes it really poor value.
How is clock rate of IF (PART OF THE CPU) not relevant to overclocking the CPU? It's relevant to performance and stability when overclocking.i am sorry to tell this, but all this memory and IF talk doesn't belong in this thread.
this thread is overclocking cpu, not fine tuning your memory with cpu....3 pages of offtopic talk....keep the topic clean, please..
why don't you start new thread for this discussion ??
@ExecutableFix please, ask them to stop talking offtopic about memory and IF. your thread is going totally wrong direction
getting your system stable is not the point of the OP. neither getting the best performance with tuning IF.How is clock rate of IF (PART OF THE CPU) not relevant to overclocking the CPU? It's relevant to performance and stability when overclocking.
That's actually a 64/128, but 7-Zip doesn't fully utilize it. The comparison with the 24-core retail part is interesting, we get 2x the decompression performance going from 24 to 64 cores which is not bad at all since the 7402P is a higher clocked part. The decompression doesn't scale as well, which is...expected. Are you on Windows or Linux? That's pretty good going for a 32c/64t CPU. This is what I get:

right now only choice for threadripper 3rd generation is trx40 as chipset.Guys, which chipset do you use for 64/128 -04 Epyc`s? Official from mobo provider or TRx from AMD?
