If only these had a 10gig port on them instead of the 2x 1gbe.

Been offered the full servers at 80€/ea previously but did not look like any cheap way to get 10gbe onto them.

Seems like this mobo comes out of these servers G431-MM0 and they don't have the PCI-e 16x slot (4x)
"MJ11-EC1 does NOT have the bifurcation option in the BIOS" from another forum.

To sad it has neither 5 sata, nor 8 pcie lanes, nor digital video output. With either one of these criterias it would be a nobrainer for me.

(Or would it be possible to solder another 4x pcie plug ?)

The slimSAS 8i connector in bottom of board is pci-e x8, its the link to the pci-e breakout board in the server.
In the other posts/threads on this boards ive seen people connect x8 or x4+x4 adapters to it, but those cost about same as the board itself.

There is a thread on here about this board - Gigabyte MJ11-EC1 EPYC 3151 Mystery
Some consumption data etc there

So actual how many lanes are useable (with adapters)?

slimSAS 8x
M.2 4x
U.2 4x

Makes 16 in total, right?

i dont think ive seen the slimsas 4i connector confirmed/used, atleast not that i remember.

When i looked at adapters my idea was splitting the 8i to x4/x4 for nic+hba to do 8hdd ceph node and keep the m.2 for db/wal storage.
Halfway gut the server, put the 8x3.5" in rear of case and (if able to find cheaply) replace psus with 2 lower wattage units.

such a crap from Gigabyte ? strange !
It was meant for industrial/automation/robotics products and their custom enclosures.

That they got put into stuff like the mining servers was more an afterthought as it needed almost no compute/lanes.
