I bought those Q03J from ebay seller ea_memory here, the cpu's arived were shiped 2 days after the order and arived 4 days after the order. Communication and everything went very smooth and fast, asked for Fedex shipping. Make an offer for a better price, i got quite some discount 2x500USD+shipping, and maybe could have negotiated more. Just most importantly i could not test them yet because my DHL Express from the US had some issues with my ASROCK mainboard transport at customs. It is rescheduled to arrive Friday so hopefully i can tell you more experience over the weekend. I think clock speeds will be ok, just not expecting the accelerators to work.Just to confirm, these devices run at the same full clock rate as the production parts?
Thanks for the information, I can't wait to find out its performance, I'll be waiting for tests from youI bought those Q03J from ebay seller ea_memory here,
I tried to explain several details to him, he still didn’t understand what I wanted from himseller ielectronics_alteratethis is known as crazy seller, they still have no clue.
"ad" = ready to boot event, if all went good this is the last code you get.I have an X12DPi-N6-AS081, it came with BIOS 1.1b - tried to set it up, but it wont go further than POST code "ad"
Tried upgrading to 1.1c - everything is the same, I can see the memory and CPU identified in IPMI webif, post codes progressing to the point of "ad" and then nothing.
I can see post codes switching after the power cycle, but yep it stays on ad (after briefly shown 0xd9) and the screen doesn't come up."ad" = ready to boot event, if all went good this is the last code you get.
but if you have no screen (BMC VGA) this is the code from last succesfull working POST not this current.
edit:
try BIOS 1.0a
yes. all ES have "0000" only EV-QS & QS have Brand strings and same specs than prod.partis Q03J actually E0 like the listings say? all the specs feel like a D0 (35x turbo multiplier, no part number string)
Q03J full core boost 2.9GHz, max boost 3.5GHz, same as the prod unit. Thanks for the information, I can't wait to find out its performance, I'll be waiting for tests from you
can the Q03J boost half of the core count to 3.5Ghz like other ES ?Q03J full core boost 2.9GHz, max boost 3.5GHz, same as the prod unit.
R23 100K+ in 2P config.
unclear, all information comes from the local seller.can the Q03J boost half of the core count to 3.5Ghz like other ES ?
ok thanks. i have a W5-3425 QS, boost 4.4ghz(2.0) 4.6ghz(3.0) but only 1/2 cores.unclear, all information comes from the local seller.
Q0KS/Q0KL tested, half of the core count can boost to max boost freq.
will some core higher than the full core boost freq in heavy load?i have a W5-3425 QS, boost 4.4ghz(2.0) 4.6ghz(3.0) but only 1/2 cores.
max. boost can only applied if other cores not boost. so no.will some core higher than the full core boost freq in heavy load?
there is seller said Q03 */Q08 * (E0) is not working on non Gigabyte motherboard. unclear....I am getting a bit desperate... Any ideas? Who knows maybe they upgraded the bios, and it wont support the E stepping. maybe both cpu faulty. Mainboard problem. Any suggestions would be welcome.
code FF ist just nothing happens, no code given.Just "received*" my long awaited Asrock SP2C741D16X-2T Mainboard, ordered from the US. Placed a Q03J but it wont post. error code FF which i could not find in the manual but according to here ( ASRock > Debug LED Troubleshooting Checklist ) gives directions to " Please check if the CPU is installed correctly and then clear the CMOS. " Then I tried reseating the memory, reduced all memory to a single stick, reseated the other cpu. Still only tried single cpu config with cpu0.
I am getting a bit desperate... Any ideas? Who knows maybe they upgraded the bios, and it wont support the E stepping. maybe both cpu faulty. Mainboard problem. Returing the MB to the US, would be a headage, maybe i was naive and to optimistic.
Any suggestions of things to try would be welcome.
check BMCWebGUI inventory for last working BIOS version. if not 1.03 update to this.Any ideas? Who knows maybe they upgraded the bios, and it wont support the E stepping. maybe both cpu faulty. Mainboard problem. Any suggestions would be welcome.
