Bought 2, Colo is getting an upgrade. No mention of idrac level, rails and looks like software raid. But the price is too good to pass up, especially with the proc 8c/16t and 32gb ddr4 ecc udimms. Thanks @nsummy

the Xeon E-21xx and 22xx series CPU's are rare and very expensive on the 2nd hand market atleast in Europe. I was looking for a CPU for my c246 mobo, and was almost ready to pull the trigger on a chinese E-22xx ES/QS CPU, but then a official E-2186G (i7-8700 equalent i think) came for sale from italy, for 220 EUR.

I'd love to upgrade to a E-2288G though, which is a i9-9900 with ECC support plus some other non-relevant CPU flag i can't recall. (and presumably a higher quality silicon lottery bin)

I get it on the serial number, but model number? Does that give them some legal loophole to send you an R330 instead?

Got mine in Friday and finally got a chance to look at the box. Dell R340 with 1 year of NBD support (purchased around May 2021) remaining, idrac 9 enterprise, e-2278g as mentioned, 16gbx2 ddr4 2666 ecc udimm, boss pcie card with 2 x m.2 cards (empty), and software raid. Looks to be a nice system.
