Aruba AP to IAP

I have successfully flashed my AP-315 to Instant (6.5.1.0-4.3.1.2), i can access the web interface (Welcome to Instant, Virtual Controller), but i cannot login to that. As i know, the default user/passwd is admin/admin on older versions and admin/<uppercase serialnumber> on new versions, but i get "Login failed" with any combination.
I can access it over ssh with admin/admin, but it writes: "Warning: CLI module is running in a degraded state...." and i cannot set anything.
Complicates the situation that the UART port is broken (Tx works, but Rx pin is broken), i've made the reflash process over BLE console in Aruba Utilities(Android), everything went OK, but i can no longer access the BLE console since the reflash.
I'm out of ideas... what can i do?

You can't just flash the firmware. You must make changes in Uboot which is only available via the console. You'll need to disassemble and replace the broken pin or attach wires to the board. I've made the conversion according to that post, all the 9 steps went OK, I can access the webUI login page.
Not the pin itself is broken, there is no physical damage, but maybe somebody overvoltaged it before (used rs232, not TTL level UART).
I dont know if someone will read this. But i cant seem to get my FTP to work. I can connect it using a username and no PW, but as it seems Aruba wants neither of both.Everything worked with ap325, version Hercules_8.6.0.21

I also have an ap-315 with an older apboot and I am unable to upload newer firmware with a larger capacity. If you've already figured it out, maybe you could help me?
Hey, I have been searching for a couple days now to find the IAP firmware for the AP304 and 305's that I have in order to convert them. HPE/Aruba firmware downloads seem to be locked right up and I've not been successful in creating an account. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Can confirm US devices can be converted to RW. I converted a Aruba Instant On AP25 (AP-515) from US to RW.
For completeness the process I used is below. I haven't seen this documented anywhere for the instant on line of APs specifically.
- Connect to the serial console and enter apboot
- Obtain the SHA1 hash of "US-S/N" or "RW-S/N" depending on if you want to convert to a US AP or RW AP. E.g. if device serial is DEADBEEF one would calculate the SHA1 hash for "US-DEADBEEF" or "RW-DEADBEEF".
- Change AP to IAP-RW or IAP-US
US: "proginv system ccode CCODE-US-SHA1" replacing SHA1 with the hash calculated in step 2.
RW: "proginv system ccode CCODE-RW-SHA1" replacing SHA1 with the hash calculated in step 2. - Unlock the flash "invent -w"
- Save the configuration "saveenv"
- Reboot "reset"
- Note the AP will be stuck synchronizing in the instant on portal if your AP and site have a region mismatch. If this happens remove the AP from the site inventory and create a new site where the site region and AP region align.

i have two aruba AP225 (APIN0225) running both on
i have attempted a reset on one of them, and can't get console access on either, they are stuck on first boot after reset, no wlan, i don't have a controller and would like to get console access to them to then upgrade to 8.6 to convert them from AP to IAP.
i have an non generic mail server so i can probably get access to the firmware download from what i've read
[UPDATE] i have found a way to create an account that doesn't instantly get flagged, i now have the firmware
i still have the issue that i don't get anything on the serial port, i'm using a butchered ethernet cable wired to a 3.3v serial breakout board

Are you supplying just power or also a working ethernet link? If after the reset sequence only the PWR light is blinking then the bootup may not proceed, so supply a working link on ETH0.
The PINOUT is like that of a cisco rollover cable RJ45 - DB9. Terminal should connect at 9600-8-N-1, with no flow control options.
