The 5xx and 6xx should be universal APs which don’t need the campus to Instant conversion (although the regulatory change may still be needed). If you’re trying to work with InstantOn, I’m afraid you’re out of luck.
Looks like you're right. I was able to SSH into the device and used upgrade-image to convert it to Instant. Haven't gotten around to figuring out how to enable 6GHz through the UI. I created a 6GHz network through CLI with it though.
