I'd imagine so. The AP-315's I just did have the same MFG year and amount of dram.

What ceiling mounts are you all using for your homes? All I'm finding for ceiling mount kids for the AP-315 are ones for dropped ceilings. I need something for a standard home with drywall/sheetrock.

I am using Aruba AP-220-MNT-W1W ( white color ) or you can you use Aruba AP-220-MNT-W1 ( black color ). AP-3XX should work. works with AP-115 and AP-225.

Got it here Aruba AP-220-MNT-W1W Access Point Mounting Bracket, NEW in Box | eBay
Accepted BO of $5 shipped. Is new in box

My Aruba AP-325s arrived today. It was pretty straightforward converting them to IAPs. Thanks. BUT... one is US and the other is stuck as RW and I get an error saying they cannot connect because of regulatory mismatch. Any idea what to do? I'm trying to get them both as US. I used the same way to generate the US sha1 so I'm not sure what's gone wrong.

Have anyone tried to download software from Aruba? I see new version available (8.8) but cannot get it because of my gmail HPE account. It works with HPE website, but not on Aruba downloads

thnx guys for how too. I have succesfully converter AP-335 to IAP.

Then looking at terminal i have noticed quite long startup (3-5 mins for AP to fully startup) and strange [ 56.010849] BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 23s! [swapper/0:1]

Is long startup normal? Does someone else gets this BUG CPU stuck?

Interesting point, that it is only at the first startup after powering via POE (did not test with DC, as i don`t have one). If it is powered up and rebooted there is no CPU stall.
@mimino how long does it take your AP`s to startup?

AP-315 boots in just under a minute.

I am new to Aruba but I was able to pick up a AP-225 fairly cheaply and I am interested in converting it to IAP-225 to use it standalone. I was using the procedure in this post. https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/aruba-ap-to-iap.29426/post-280609

i was able to get the ArubaInstant_Centaurus_8.6.0.10_80708 flashed over the 6.3 install that was on the AP. It boots into Instant mode and I can login to the Instant UI but it prompts for Country Code for Regulatory Domain but US is not listed. I have read that symptom can be from a mismatched serial number hash in line 1 of the procedure.

My AP is serial number CNBRHMV5BW marked on both the front removable label as well as the small label on the back. i have tried the following lines but I am obviously missing something. Can anyone see what I am doing wrong?

proginv system ccode CCODE-US-CC6983F643CD4760CF9C008C504AFE5F8F039F18 (SHA1 Hash of US-CNBRHMV5BW)

proginv system ccode CCODE-US-62544F17A880DDEE6AD464020979E4EA323BA92F (SHA1 Hash of CCODE-US-CNBRHMV5BW)

Thanks

This should be correct. Does anyone know if the value is case sensitive? I used lower case letters on all of mine because that's what my generator gives.

proginv system ccode CCODE-US-cc6983f643cd4760cf9c008c504afe5f8f039f18

Other thought, copy the serial number directly from the unit and paste it into your sha1 generator. Maybe the sticker is wrong/worn?

I have tried lower case and it doesn't change the problem. It is acting like I referenced a ROW domain and not US since it prompts for the county after booting. I unpacked the AP from the box so I think that the label is right and when I ran mfginfo from apboot; the serial number looked right.

I purchased it from a US liquidator and I assume that it is a US version but at the point, I can't be sure. The AP model is APIN0225 and there is a sticker with JW174A on it different from the serial number and MAC address sticker. It has a FCC ID number but what would be different in labeling a RW version from a US version?

Any ideas about how to troubleshoot this? I guess the first thing to confirm I have a US AP? What markings identify whether this is a US or RW AP? I didn't see anything from mfginfo that said one way or another?

Would trying to get the demo version of the controller software allow it to convert to a US domain?
Thanks for all of the help!
