Hi

I am trying to install Hyper-V Server 2012 R2. It seems to install just fine but after that, it keeps rebooting with the following error. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Hmm, I installed Server 2012 R2 without problems. NIC's also installed fine. I then enabled the Hyper-V server and now it keeps rebooting with the same error message as above.

control panel -> system -> advanced system settings -> advanced tab (startup and Recovery settings... button)

Write Debugging information - set to complete memory dump.

zip the MEMORY.DMP file. and send me a PM on where to find it.

I switched to ESXi, otherwise I would have been happy to provide you with the DMP files.

I cannot finish the install of hyper v server 2012 r2. If I pull the ssd from that system, can I somehow access the dmp file from another system to send you?

i dont see a memory.dmp file in the windows directory

maybe because the install did not finish? im going to zip the contents of the entire dir and upload them to dropbox or such

this board only has uefi, not sure how to install it otherwise

edit: uefi only on this new asrock, no legacy options

maybe that is why hyper v server 2016 and windows 10 work without issue

go to BIOS, find CMS (compatibilty support mode) under boot menu selection.
