> Did anyone try the x-3 with these down to 40g?

Yes.
Can anyone guide me on whether this transceiver will work (at 40 Gbit, not 100 Gbit, obviously) with a Mellanox MT27500 Family 649281-B21 HP Infiniband FDR/Ethernet 10Gb/40Gb 2-port 544QSFP Adapter such as this one? Any firmware settings needed, or will it 'just work'? Currently card is working with a DAC cable.

The card that I have shows up in lspci as

02:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Mellanox Technologies MT27500 Family [ConnectX-3] [15b3:1003]
Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company InfiniBand FDR/EN 10/40Gb Dual Port 544QSFP Adapter [103c:18d6]

I have the card configured to Ethernet only (not Infiniband / VPI) on both ports.

mstconfig query shows:

Any reply on which fiber cable I need for these transceivers amd Mellanox ConnectX-4 100G cards ?

The fiber mentioned looks like iss not supporting anywhere close to 100 gig speeds....
I used OS1 LC-LC from Amazon it works fine.

IMG_9522.jpg
Also tried this OS2 it's a bit thiner and works as well.

I also need to put a pci slot fan to blow on the Mellanox ConnectX-4 CX455 100G NIC. Otherwise the transceiver is getting too hot and keep dropout/reset connection.

I ordered four and they worked!

They even work on 40G Arista switch for me.
At what speed? 40gbe? or 10gbe?
(I tried a while ago a 100gbe aoc and the switch (7050q-16) changed to 10gbe, forcing to 40gbe did not work. Host side was cx-4 100gbe)

these intel modules seems to have lower max operational temp (around 55C) and also shorted distance (1km).
I have kaiam xqx4302 and those have 70C max temp and 2km.

correct, so for DC use and misc places, not viable

Hello,

Anyone tested these(SPTSBP2CLCKS) transceivers on Cisco Nexus switch? I am trying to bring up a link but the TX power is in "NA" state. On the other side I am using a SPTSBP3CLCWS QSFP. I tried to use same module (SPTSBP2CLCKS) on both sides but with the same result (no TX).

transceiver is present
type is QSFP-100G-CWDM4
name is INTEL CORP
part number is SPTSBP2CLCKS
revision is 02
nominal bitrate is 25500 MBit/sec
Link length supported for 9/125um fiber is 1 km
cisco id is 17
cisco extended id number is 204

They should be working fine. Mikrotik doesn't do vendor lock for SFP modules on their switches as far as i know.
I use FS and Kaiam modules in my CRS504-4XQ-IN without issues.
