    MikroTik CSS326-24G-2S+RM

This review is from Rohit in 2017 https://www.servethehome.com/mikrotik-css326-24g-2srm-review-cheap-24x-1gbe-2x-10gbe/ It isn't fast if you're wanting to route. If you'd just want a L2 network, it's fine.

Options for repairing a Supermicro board?

I'd get a new one. They won't repair it for free and they'll see the water damage easily. If you have to pay for a RMA and all the shipping I'd just get a new board. I'd be afraid for something else to be wrong and go out later catching fire or breaking components. That sucks that it happened...

Intel IMDT + Optane (DC P4800X) + EPYC

It's the DIMMs coming with Cascade Lake in Q1 or Q2 2019. My bet is Q2 although it's shipping to Google and the like now. I don't think it'll work out of the box with the P4800X but I'm not sure anyone has tried it. Maybe ask ScaleMP?

QNAP TS-2888X 28-bay Deep Learning NAS Tower

The motherboard is a big piece. It has extra spacing for GPU coolers which is really nice. You're right. I was shocked at pricing.
