Hi folks, so I had my Supermicro board running open on my bench and it suffered some water damage (dripping condensation from AC unit).

I do get a small power light on the board but no action past that, no fans etc. Swapped PSU to be sure.

I bought the board second hand and am just wondering if this would be valid for a RMA repair thru Supermicro? Any other options for repair? Or toss it in the scrap pile and buy a new one? Thanks!

I'd get a new one. They won't repair it for free and they'll see the water damage easily. If you have to pay for a RMA and all the shipping I'd just get a new board. I'd be afraid for something else to be wrong and go out later catching fire or breaking components.

That sucks that it happened. It's a good learning experience.

Yeah that is pretty much what I figured :( by the time you pay for the RMA.... might as well just get a new one.

The light gave me so much hope, lol.... so close, so far....
