I have this chassis. I dont recommend it. The hd tray is cheap..., the construction need bracing.
Overall i would rather get supermicro 45 bays for $300 posted on here fewdays ago
U12-42207
Matches Tiger direct product number of 18u unit
If i receive 12u unit , they will take it back or compensate me. 12u isnt enough for what i need it for.
Lol the specs is wrong. Come on man when have you ever seen wall mount rack thats 37" deep?
You shoukd read it like this, H 37"x W 20" x D 18"
Beside what is 18U in inches?
Its actually only 18", very shallow i think its meant for networking equipment only.
I bought a couple at this price for my audio gear. I will need to figure how to cool the rack probably.
Ah ... i didn't know that. Asrock drop the balls on this one. Hopefully it's still a deal for others with regular Ram. I would get one for my Synology build if i did not already got the parts.
Newegg egg currectly has the Asrock E3C224D4I-14S on sale.
ASRock E3C224D4I-14S Extended mini ITX Server Motherboard LGA 1150 Intel C224 DDR3 1600 / 1333 - Newegg.com
This extended mITX board support 14 drives out of the box. Add a $40 8port 6Gbps SAS and you have 30 port for direct connected...
Thank you so much Sleyk. Yes this particular build is for a small NAS Synology and will need to work with 3tb + HDs.
My Giant storage array is coming nicely with first gen card tho :). I will make a build thread when i got all the main parts.
AC use lots of electricity if your room temp is not controlled. Have you thought of building a ducting system first? This way the rack air is completely separated from the room air.
I had a couple of this monitor and returned them.
Their color is way off, trying to calibrate it without success.
Also they're only 60hz thro DP, which my AMD cards support. However i cant stand the color inaccuracy.
They're great for programmers who just look for extra real estate tho.
No i think for high density storage array, we can build a mini Backblaze storage pods. Can we have like 5 pods for 5 drawers and 1 drawers for host computer?
