Please do the following to attempt to repair a Zip file or you may apply following topics in case your .zip archive is hardly corrupted

Best ZIP repair tool for WinZip archives fixs Zip Repair Toolbox

Please do the following to attempt to repair a Zip file:

  1. Open an administrator Command Prompt window

Windows 10 and Windows 8.1

  1. Right click the start button
  2. Click Command Prompt (Admin)
Windows 7 and Windows Vista

    1. Click Start, click All Programs, and click Accessories
    2. Right click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator
  1. Change directories to the folder where the corrupted Zip file is located
  2. Type: "C:\Program Files\WinZip\wzzip" -yf zipfile.zip
  3. Press Enter on the keyboard
Substitute the actual drive letter and folder where WinZip is installed if different than above and also use the real Zip file name in the place of zipfile.zip. The double quotes in the example above are necessary due to the space between "Program" and "Files".

For a split or spanned Zip file, use the following command instead:

"C:\Program Files\WinZip\wzzip" -yfs zipfile.zip

WZZIP will create a new Zip file with a FIXED suffix in the file name. The original Zip file will not be modified. Only the data in the original Zip file is used.

The FIXED Zip file is structurally sound but the data may still be corrupt. WZZIP does not fix the zipped data itself. If the zipped data has a CRC error or the zipped data is corrupt, then the resulting fixed Zip file will still be corrupt.

You can try to repair ZIP file by using WinRAR tool. It has a built-in repair feature that can repair RAR as well as ZIP files. You must try it. If you don't know how to do that, refer to this blog post: Repair ZIP File | Repair RAR File – Easy Manual Tricks | N. Sem's Blog

This would be so effective and easy that it would no need to use any paid software.

Thanks and best regards.

Try to repair the corrupted ZIP archive using WinRAR utility. It supports a built-in repair feature that can repair corrupted RAR as well as ZIP archive. You need to follow the steps given below:

Open WinRAR tool, click on File tab > Open. Or press Ctrl + O.

In the "Find Archive" window, locate the corrupted ZIP file and select it.

Now click on Tools tab > Repair archive. Or press Alt + R.

In the "Repairing File name.ZIP" window, click on Browse button to select a location for newly repaired ZIP archive.

Check the "Treat the corrupt archive as ZIP" box and click on OK to start the repairing process.

Within a few seconds, the ZIP archive will be repaired. Click on Close.

Now check the newly repaired ZIP archive at the defined location.

Or you can also try a third-party ZIP recovery tool such as SysInfoTools ZIP Recovery Tool to recover data from corrupted ZIP archive if the manual tricks fails. Try its free demo version first.
